Regenerating Senja through responsible travel 💚

In collaboration with Senja Municipality, Ånderdalen National Park, and Rissa Citizen Science, we invite locals and travelers to give back to nature this summer.

This regenerative project takes place in July across Ånderdalen National Park and Fjordgård — bringing people together to restore, learn, and contribute to the landscapes that make Senja unique.

In April, the museum opens a special Sámi settlement tour — a chance to walk into history before winter fades. A gentle snowshoe walk, warm goahti, stories, culture, and a simple lunch by the fire.

Owned and performed by Midt‑Troms Museum.

I april åpner Midt-Troms Museum en spesiell omvisning i den samiske bosetningen i Kaperdalen– en mulighet til å trå inn i historien før vinteren slipper taket. En lett trugetur, varm goahti, fortellinger, kultur og et enkelt måltid ved bålet.

Arctic Race of Norway is a professional cycling race held annually in Northern Norway and is known as the world's northernmost stage race on road. The race has gained international attention for both its spectacular scenery and challenging routes.

The third stage will take place from the outer coast of Senja to Målselv this coming Saturday. Please be aware of road closures during this period.
