Hello friends, all the boats are already prepared for the new season. This year we’re expanding the fleet with a few more additions, but we’ll share more about that in one of the upcoming posts. 🙂

For now, we’re posting a few photos of our long-time favorite — the Folla boat. Over the years, we’ve made some improvements to better meet the needs of anglers. We’ve added windshields for greater captain comfort, upgraded the sonar and GPS systems to more modern ones, installed 12 rod holders throughout (because you can never have enough), and came up with plenty of other enhancements. 🤙

A new fishing video from our guide is out! Do vibrations play a role in sea fishing? Yes—an enormous one. I became convinced of this during the past fishing season. Without hesitation, my favorite lure for spinning was a sinking wobbler. This lure, weighted with lead, can sink to depths of over fifty meters while still offering a very distinctive and unconventional action accompanied by strong vibrations. 🎣

It was an honor for us to host a prominent figure of the European MMA scene at our camp this year—Bellator champion Attila Végh. 💪 He is a passionate fisherman who truly loves this hobby, and he even caught some magnificent fish, so he certainly didn’t miss out on training either. 😅This is ! 🎣

It doesn’t always have to be just about fishing. At the end of the season, you can often witness the Northern Lights right here at our camp. 🙏 The surrounding area is full of beautiful mountains, perfect for hiking. There are countless opportunities for trips — whether on foot, by boat, or by car. Simply put, here you have endless possibilities. 🇳🇴 Here, the world still feels right. Here, this is what it means to be at HasvagCamp. 🤝

Tight lines my friends. It may already be September, but it still feels like summer. Every day the temperatures are over twenty degrees and the wind stays below five meters per second. Even at eleven in the evening we’re walking around the camp in just T-shirts. 🫠

Fishing with natural baits on the bottom is very effective; lings and cods are almost everywhere around the seamounts. Spinning fishing, however, is not that easy. 🎣

Mackerel and po***ck are active, and around the seamounts or islets you can have a really good spinning fishing time. But the saithe (coalfish) is quite deep down. 🤙

Nevertheless, for now we are experiencing one of the most beautiful endings of the fishing season. Hopefully it will last a little longer. We’ll check in again later—bye for now. This is ! 👈

In the past few days, the weather has cleared up beautifully and it’s been really nice. Spinning isn’t easy, but fishing with natural baits is excellent. Plenty of huge lings and even halibut catches are not missing. 🎣

Considering it’s the beginning of September, the weather has really been on our side. Every day around 20 degrees Celsius with an wind blowing toward the sea, meaning no waves and perfect conditions for fishing. 💪

The forecast for the coming days also looks very promising. I can’t wait to see what the next fishing days will bring us. We’ll check in again later with more photos. Tight lines, bye for now. This is ! 🤙

Tight lines, friends! I’ve just received some more photos from our guests who headed back home yesterday, so I’m uploading them here for a bit of inspiration. A special congratulations to angler Míša for her huge cod — such a stunning fish is quite a rare sight in central Norway! 🎣

The forecast shows that after a long stretch of good weather, things are expected to take a turn. Stronger winds and rain will make things a bit more challenging, especially when it comes to getting out to sea and reaching the best fishing spots. As I mentioned in the previous post, the rain is actually a welcome change after such a dry spell, and let’s hope the wind won’t be too strong. 🛥️
