Huskyfarm Innset Multi-Day Dogsledding Tours through the Norwegian Mountains north of the Arctic Circle

03/05/2026

There is a specific kind of peace that comes with summer in the North. It’s the feeling of walking a husky through an endless landscape where the sun never sets and the world feels wonderfully remote.
This is where we’ll be spending our „office hours“ in just a few months. Care to join us? 🥾🐾

We’re about to trade the sled for the hiking belt. 🥾🐾

Our endless playground is about to turn green, and we can’t wait.

Summer here means guided husky hikes, canoe tours on the river, and the chance to join in on the daily rhythm of farm life. Whether you’re sharing a trail with a loyal hiking buddy or exploring the nearby national parks, there’s always something to do.

Who’s joining us for the summer? ☀️🐕

Welcome to the Fifth Season! ✨
In Norway, we call this time Vårvinter: that magical bridge where winter’s deep snow meets spring’s warm sun. For us at Innset, it is the most rewarding time for families to visit. The air is kinder, the trails are settled, and our playground stretches as far as the eye can see.

Longer days, deeper trails. ❄️✨

The light is officially back! We are moving out of the darkness and into those stunning, sun-drenched February and March days where the snow sparkles and the dogs seem to find an extra gear.

There’s a reason Morten always smiles a bit wider during these tours. For him, this season is about sharing the absolute purity of the mountains. With the sun staying up longer, we can go deeper into the remote, untouched landscapes that define our philosophy here at the farm. It’s the ultimate way to experience the wild: exposed and breathtakingly beautiful.

While our winter tour season is still in full swing, some of us are already looking forward to the warmer months. We have something special for those of you craving a change of pace: an unforgettable summer retreat in the heart of the Norwegian wilderness.

Your yoga teacher .stein will help you reconnect through gentle movement, guided hiking, and the deep peace of the mountains. You’ll stay in our traditional wooden huts, enjoy fresh food grown right here on the farm, and end your evenings with shared meditations under the summer sky. It’s a small, personal experience designed for those who want to leave the noise behind and find their own rhythm again.

One of the most incredible things about traveling with a dog team is the access it gives you to untouched nature. These dogs are capable of taking us deep into landscapes where where hikers would struggle to tread in mid-winter. This unique access comes with a deep responsibility to the land. Our tours are designed to immerse you in nature in a way that is both powerful and low-impact, ensuring that the only mark we leave behind is the temporary weight of a sled runner in the snow.

Respecting the wilderness is the core of everything we do at the farm. Whether we are setting up camp for a night under the stars or packing everything away in the morning light, we treat the environment with the same care we give our dogs. We believe that true adventure shouldn’t come at the cost of the environment. By embracing the traditional ways of the North, we can experience the most breathtaking parts of Norway while preserving the integrity of the ecosystem. It is our way of saying thank you to the mountains and the forests for letting us pass through.

If Avicii was a wise man — and we’re pretty sure he was — then this is exactly the adventure you need. 😉

At least fetching your morning coffee water from a hole in a frozen lake is a pretty good place to start your rememberable life. Our multi-day tours aren’t your typical „sit back and relax“ holiday. They are raw, cold, and a little bit exhausting in the best way possible. From mastering the sled to getting cozy in a remote mountain hut after a long day on the trail, every second is a reminder of what it feels like to truly be alive. It’s the kind of once-in-a-lifetime experience that makes the best stories, shared with a team of dogs who are just as excited about the journey as you are. So, are you going to listen to Avicii and join the pack, or just watch from the couch?

There is a unique kind of magic that happens when you strip away the infrastructure and the crowds of the famous coastal cities. Most people experience the Northern Lights from the roadside or a crowded viewpoint, but we believe the best way to see them is from the threshold of a traditional lavvu, deep in the heart of the mountains. Our multi-day tours are designed for those who want to escape the mass tourism of the North and find something far more authentic. It is the difference between a quick photo op and a lifelong memory.

Out here, the darkness is absolute, which makes the colors of the sky burn even brighter. By traveling with the dogs, we reach places where the air is still and the horizon is vast. Being so remote means being „exposed“ to nature in the best possible way—unprotected from the elements but fully open to the wonder of the cosmos. When the lights begin their dance above the pack, there are no engines humming and no camera flashes from strangers. It is just you, the dogs, and a deep, quiet awe. This is the soulful experience of the Arctic that you simply cannot find in a crowded tourist hub.

The new year is already two weeks old, and it feels like the world has already started spinning at full speed. It is so easy to get caught up in the rush of 2026, chasing goals and keeping up with the hustle of daily life. But out here in the quiet of the Norwegian winter, the dogs remind us of a different way to live. They are the ultimate masters of being present, taking every single moment exactly as it comes without any worry for what follows.

There is so much peace to find in watching them simply exist. They don’t rush the clock or stress about the passing of time; they just wait, breathe, and let the world turn around them. Let’s take this as our inspiration for the rest of the year. Instead of racing through January, let’s try to borrow a bit of their calm. Let’s remember that sometimes, the most productive thing we can do for our souls is to just wait here for a little bit and let time pass.
