Summer Dog Camp on an Island 🌞 A Summer Holiday with the Huskies

Every summer, some of our sled dogs leave the kennel behind and head to their favorite holiday destination ✨ a small island in the middle of a beautiful Arctic lake. This is happening approx. from about 15th July to 15th August.

Join us for a truly unique experience as we travel by boat to the island and spend time with the dogs in their summer paradise. Watch them run, play, swim, and interact freely with their handlers while enjoying the peace and beauty of the surrounding wilderness.

Around the campfire, we'll share stories from life with the dogs while serving hot and cold drinks in the heart of nature.

For those looking for an even deeper connection to the Arctic outdoors, the adventure can be extended with an overnight stay, nature walks, and fishing on the lake.

A rare opportunity to experience our huskies exactly as they love to be in summer: free, happy, and surrounded by nature.

Sled Dog Training 🐕‍ What Do Sled Dogs Do in Summer?

Join us for an interactive experience and discover what it takes to prepare a team of sled dogs for the challenges of winter. Ride along during a training session with our dogs, learn how we work together as a team, and experience the incredible enthusiasm that makes these athletes so special.

You'll have the opportunity to help harness the dogs, meet the team up close, and watch their excitement build as they prepare to run. Follow the Sámi herders on the spring migration of their reindeer from inland winter pastures to coastal grazing grounds. 🦌

A rare adventure made possible by Sámi families in Finnmark. Perfect for those who crave something truly unique, want to learn new skills, and live life to the fullest.

CABIN TALES ✨️ DANSKAR

In the Arctic landscapes of Karasjok, water quietly shapes the land. Small streams run through forests and tundra, sometimes almost hidden, yet always part of the northern landscape. One of these is Danskar, named after the Sámi word for a little stream. A simple name that reflects the quiet presence of water in this region.

Our cabin Danskar carries that connection to the land. Located beside a small stream and close to the lodge sauna, it sits peacefully within the surroundings of Engholm Lodge. Built with traditional log craftsmanship and natural materials, Danskar reflects the warmth and authenticity of life in the north.

Inside, the cabin offers a cozy, modern comfort. At its heart glows a fireplace, filling the space with soft light and the calming warmth of fire. 🔥

Situated near the sauna and surrounded by Arctic nature, Danskar is both a place to unwind and a reminder that here, even the smallest elements of the landscape, like a quiet stream, are part of the story of the land. 💙
