Through our Impact Fund, 50 Degrees North donates 10 percent of annual profits to environmental and community initiatives in the destinations we travel to. The fund supports projects focused on biodiversity protection, sustainable tourism, community engagement, and nature-based climate solutions, in line with our Climate Action Plan.

In 2025, the Impact Fund totalled NOK 1.8 million, almost double the amount allocated in 2024. This increase has allowed us to continue supporting long term partners while also forming new partnerships focused on conservation and waste reduction.

Our 2025 partners include organisations working to protect wild pollinators, restore kelp forests, manage visitor pressure in the Nærøyfjord World Heritage area, remove waste from remote Arctic coastlines, and protect forest and peatland habitats through Sámi co managed conservation in northern Finland.

The Impact Fund is designed to ensure that tourism contributes positively to the destinations we operate in, with funding directed to visible, locally relevant initiatives that support resilient ecosystems and communities beyond the journey itself.
