[GRGUREVO - DAY OF THE CITY POŽEGA]

March 12 in Požega is traditionally celebrated as the day of victory over the Ottomans.

Grgurervo, or St Gragory's day celebrates the victory and is the da when canons and mortars are exhibited on the town's central square.

The central event is the mortar fire all over Požega vineyards which symbolizes the chasing of the Ottomans from the region and commemorates the victory on Sokolovac Hill i 1688.

So if you don't have plans for this Tuesday, we suggest you take visiting this manifestation in Požega into consideration.

Aproximately 4.500 kn is the distance between Croatia and the northmost point of Norway - Nordkapp.

By bike, it would take you about 300 hours to cross that distance - under ideal conditions, of course.

Sounds impossible? Not really! Hrvoje Jurić managed to finish this route in 76 days. It took months of preparation, so don't try to do it on your own.

But if you're interested in hearing all about it, and much more about Hrvoje's adventures on his bike "Mrc'na", follow BePartOfIt and come to his lecture followed by an evening of casual discussion this March!
