Experienced an incredible night with Shades of Dire Straits at Verket Scene in Moss town. These "young guys for many years ago" brought the music alive with their guitar-driven sound. That felt both powerful and true to the spirit of the original band. Their version of Brothers in Arms was a definite highlight - emotionally charged, haunting and beautifully played. The lead guitar work was simply outstanding, delivering those soaring, expressive solos that had the whole crowd mesmerized. A must-see for any Dire Straits fan!

Moss town by night. After a concert at Verket Scene yesterday, I walked through the centre. Every step I came closer to the water feels like stepping deeper into summer magic. Finally, I reached Tollboden and the Canal, Kanalen.

Moss City Tower - Bytårnet at Skarmyra - symbol of the town - guarded by the big tower enthusiast Vidar Hauge Halvorsen. He’s one of seven history-loving locals, calling themselves Tårnfuglene - “Tower Birds". They preserve the city tower and keep it open for curious visitors. Today, I walked up the 59 steps to enjoy the view from the top of the tower. It rises eleven meters to the cornice (gesimsen) and 16 meters to the top above the ground. The tower was built as a gift to the city of Moss in 1920.
