og har nettopp gjennomført et todagers kurs i ”Norwegian Outdoor Training” for en internasjonal gjeng med geologer som skal ut i den nordnorske naturen for å søke etter verdifulle mineraler under større delen av sommeren og høsten. 🪨

Deltakerne fikk en grundig innføring i blant annet det norske friluftslivet, utemedisin samt bruk av kart og gps men også om flora og fauna samt troll og andre vesen du vil kunne treffe på. 🧌

Lokalene i ga den perfekte atmosfæren for dette kurset og tilbakemeldingene fra kursdeltakerne var💯

Ski guiding season 2025/2026 is over and done with! We have had some really good days with guides and happy guests from near and afar, running courses and guiding from November until May. Several of our guests from this winter have already booked another trip with us in 2027, which probably says something about the amount of fun we had together. 🤩

If you weren’t able to join us this skiing season - hope to see you during the next one! We will post updates regularly about upcoming courses, guided ski touring trips and off-piste experiences. ❄️

We have just come back from our final hut to hut ski touring trip for the season. And what a trip it was! We had four straight days of sunny weather and some of the best skiing we have had this season. The huts was just as cozy as always and the evenings were spent with having good meals and interesting discussions. ❄🥂

We have set up new dates for this trip in 2027, with one trip being fully booked already. So make sure to book early if you want to secure a spot on this unique trip! You can also contact us if you want to set up a trip at another date. 🚄⛷

We already have several bookings for 2027 and we will need more guides for our activities in Narvik. If you're a certified mountain or ski guide that wants to try something new, we might have something to offer you. 🏔

Why Narvik and why us? Well, here are some reasons:
* The Narvik region is one of the regions in Northern Norway with the largest growth in tourism.
* With a lot of high mountains and easy access to alpine terrain, we are less vulnerable to bad winters than many other regions in Northern Norway.
* The ski resort has some of the best back- and sidecountry skiing in Scandinavia, with a complexity that makes it really suitable for guiding.
* Gálav Ski Guides have several unique products, including multiday hut-to-hut ski tours using the train, boat-accessed ski touring and our Impact High Camps.
* We have a guide office at in downtown Narvik, which is a really nice place to start and finish a day of skiing and to meet other likeminded people.
* Our ambition to develop and sell guiding products for both winter and summer season (starting from this summer) means that we will be able to provide work for most of the year.

This week has been really busy. We have had 4 different guides working with 6 separate groups from 🇳🇴🇸🇪🇬🇧🇨🇦 The week started with really warm weather and nice spring conditions, but the winter suddenly made a comeback and we have been skiing great powder snow the last few days. ❄️❄️❄️ Conditions are great at the moment and it looks like there will be good ski touring for another few weeks. Let us know if you want to do some more skiing before the season ends, we have available capacity from 11 May. 🙌

Team telemark from 🇸🇪 really hit the jackpot with sunny days and great spring corn snow. With a more stable snowpack than in the previous weeks we can ski the steeper terrain and really take advantage of the nice weather and snow conditions that we have at the moment. ☀️

Tirsdagens filmkveld i ble en ordentlig suksess. .summits besøkte oss og viste film som de har laget. 📽️🍿

Dette er slike arrangementer vi ønsker å få til fremover, der lokale og tilreisende friluftsentusiaster møtes og der sterke opplevelser skapes. 🤝

A group of friends took the train to Narvik all the way from southern France, to join us for some train-based ski touring. We had a great time together in the mountains and enjoyed the sauna and northern lights in the mountain hut where we spent a night. 🗻

By taking the train to Narvik this group got our 20% «Travel Green» discount on the price for three days of guiding, a good deal both for them and for the climate. 🌍
