Unregulated tour operators have created havoc in Tromso, a Norwegian town of about 80,000 residents that has access to a clear view of the aurora borealis.

Social media has led to an explosion of tourism in the area. More than 137,000 visitors passed through the recently expanded international terminal of the Tromso airport in February alone, according to a report.

This unregulated industry, local officials say, has sown chaos on the streets and undercuts licensed tour operators, as well as the local tax base.

I find it a little embarrassing.

26-year-old Knox Alexander pours Knox Alexander into his glass. A Pinot Noir from the Bien Nacido and Le Bon Climat vineyards in Santa Maria Valley, California.

The wine was named after him by wine legend Jim Clendenen—his father. It feels a bit pretentious to pour that particular one.

It wasn’t a given that Knox Alexander would take over the winery when his father died unexpectedly in 2021. But the following year, he was ready.

“It wasn’t until I showed them my tattoos that they realized I was serious.”

A sly grin and youthful audacity can take you far. Brilliant wines can take you even further.

Knox Alexander Clendenen has it all.

Name: Au Bon Climat Knox Alexander Pinot Noir 2018
Score: 91
Price: 820

Kapital’s real estate panel has once again convened to take the pulse of the real estate market. The panel consists of the industry’s most knowledgeable and experienced players: Roar Sandnes, Andreas Jul Røsjø, Peter T. Malling, and Ida Aall Gram.

When the panel met six months ago, the market outlook was somewhat bleak. Now, however, the experts point to three specific areas that are booming, and suggest that things may be starting to pick up in other sectors as well.

Find out which ones at Kapital.no now.

Ørnulf Bast’s fountain sculpture *Eternal Life* (1949) can be found at Sehested Square—one of the city’s most beautiful small public squares from the late 20th century.

The square is known for being surrounded by several major publishing houses. And H. Aschehoug & Co A/S donated the sculpture to the city on the occasion of the publishing house’s 75th anniversary in 1947.
