SUP yoga is practicing yoga on a stand up paddle board (SUP board) in the middle of a body of water. Both Yoga and Stand Up Paddle boarding are great for building strength, balance and coordination as well as encouraging mindfulness, peace and inner calm. By combining the two we can bring awareness to the physical body and mind. It is one of the best ways for practice mindfulness, be present and i
ntentional with all your movements and thoughts. It will require your full presence in the practice as well as more strength, balance and focus. Doing yoga on a SUP engages muscles that you may neglect during your on-land practice. Another amazing benefit to practice SUP yoga, that you will be outdoors, in the water which will allow you to leave all your thoughts and worries on the shore, and just enjoy this time being with nature, water and yourself. You will be breathing in fresh air with every pose you do and when you open your eyes, you can appreciate the beautiful scenery of Oslo city. Welcomed are beginners and advanced yogis. No worries if you have never Stand Up Paddled before, or done yoga, this experience is for all levels. If it will be your first time on SUP board, please show up 10 min earlier so we can instruct you on how to use the board
About the SUP yoga class. Class is 75 minutes in length from our on land staring point to the paddling back. We will start our journey in Sorenga and will paddle all the way to Munch museum enjoying scenery of the Oslo city. Classes include all equipment. If you choose to bring your own equipment please mention that when reserving the spot. For SUP yoga dress accordingly in clothes suitable for yoga, we will be barefoot and you can always grab a pair of socks and a warmer jumper with you on the board. In addition, before you leave your house be sure to check the weather, that way you can be prepared if it is going to be colder than expected. Price – NOK 450

To book a spot please write to SUP yoga Oslo (Facebook) or (Instagram). Cancel your reservation no later than 24 hrs in advance, to ensure others can book your spot. After that, it’s NOK 200 for the late cancellation or if you miss the class. When planning the SUP yoga classes we are taking into account weather forecast, but as we all know, you never know what to expect. If we are canceling the class due to the unsuitable weather you will receive 100% refund. You can book an individual SUP yoga class, or private group class (minimum 3 people).
