Next May, we're hosting a small-group, fully supported seven-day cycling journey designed to test your legs on these very routes. Tracing a path from the coastal Art Nouveau architecture of Ålesund through the heart of the Sunnmøre Alps, this itinerary is built for riders who ride regularly and appreciate the satisfaction of a flawless logistical plan.

Over five demanding stages, the route tackles Europe's iconic alpine ascents, including the legendary switchbacks of the Geiranger-Trollstigen National Scenic Route and the technical hairpins of Ørnevegen. You'll ride custom, precision-built machines from Oslo's boutique brand FARA Cycling, backed by full team-car support on your wheel to handle luggage, mid-ride hydration, and mechanical needs.

However, the experience is defined just as much by what happens off the bike. At the end of each stage, your host manages the evening: outdoor waterfront bathtubs, curated farm-to-table dinners, and bases like Hotel Brosundet and Hotel Sagafjord, where every room faces the fjord.

Late May offers a rare window where the alpine roads are free of summer crowds, the peaks are still crowned in winter snow, and the daylight lasts long into the night.

A true heritage journey is built on personal, unscripted moments. For Martha and her siblings, Gerda, Emily, and David, a return to their family roots turned into a ten-day expedition across Norway.

Their route traced an incredible path through changing landscapes. It began in the capital streets of Oslo, wound through the dramatic western fjords, and carried them all the way to the rugged, remote edges of the North Cape and Kirkenes.

Central to the journey was a gathering in Kongsberg. Here, the siblings visited the farms where their ancestors once lived, tracing their lineage directly on the soil and sitting down with local cousins over a lunch of freshly pressed heart waffles, as well as studying the family tree together.

From the emotional connection of their family lands, they transitioned into the rural quiet of Hafslo and the historic coastal energy of Bergen. They spent their days cruising iconic fjords, walking the ancient wooden alleyways of Bryggen, and taking the cable car high up Mount Ulriken to watch the mist clear over the sea.

"I am usually the trip planner for our vacations, and it can be a ton of work," Martha shared with us upon their return. "I cannot tell you how relieved I was that you planned everything for us and made it so easy!"
