We're honored to join our long time friend and partner at Battenkill Textiles Tours on their 20th anniversary celebration tour for a 7-night cruise on the Rhone River, from Arles to Lyon, with AmaWaterways. In addition to the cruise, we'll stay in Nice for two nights and have two knitting workshops with Julie Dubreaux. Our fifth tour with Battenkill Textile Tours went to Stockholm, Dalecarlia, the folk heartland of Sweden, and to Helsinki by overnight cruise ship. As usual it was a great tour, with 4 textile workshops, sightseeing in the cities and, even more important, a great group of people.

Our 4th tour with the National Nordic Museum was another success. We visited Stockholm, Inari in Northern Finland and sailed the Norwegian Coast from Kirkenes to Bergen. Along the way, we learned about the Sámi people and saw some of the best scenery our planet has to offer.

We just finished our second knitting tour to Denmark and our second with the Gourmet Yarn Shop and it was even better this time. We visited Denmark's two most scenic islands, Fanø and Ærø and stayed 5 days in Copenhagen. Our 4th trip with Battenkill Textile Tours was the best yet. In this Norway only tour, we had workshops with Sidsel Høivik, the Hardanger Folk Museum and Hillesvåg Ull along with fantastic fjord scenery and a great stay at the Solstrand Hotel. We even had good weather in Bergen. We're busy working on next year's tour to Sweden and Finland.

We just finished our second trip with the Seacoast Ski Club. This trip to Denmark and Norway was even better than the first, with lots of activities that most tour groups don't do, such as sightseeing and picnicking on electric boats in Copenhagen, taking the Flåm railway up and bicycling down, walking on bridges across the Hardanger Fjord and the Vøringsfoss gorge plus many other highlights.

The theme for our recently completed third tour for the National Nordic Museum was Nordic Design. In addtion to stops in the cities of Copenhagen, Oslo, Gothenburg, Stockholm and Helsinki, we drove through the Swedish countryside to Älmhult, home of Ikea, and Kosta Boda to see art glass. The highlights are too many to list, but some photos by Terje Leiren and Ann-Charlotte Gavel Adams will show a sample.
