Sarah Kuta with TravelPulse recently reached out to me about low water levels on the European rivers this year. For those of you have been river cruising for several years it’s not a surprise to you that there has been some disruption in the itineraries as the water levels on any river fluctuate. Eric and I experienced some disruption during the same time frame 2 years ago on the Rhine but it was due to high water levels. Today we went to Giverny to visit Claude Monet’s home. The gardens are inspiring, no wonder his paintings are stunning! This has been one of my most favorite days in France!

Notre Dame de Paris. I haven’t been inside since the fire of 2019. Although, it won’t be fully completed until 2027, most of what one will notice is completed and beautiful.

As our vacation in Scandinavia comes to an end I’ve been reflecting on why this has been such a spectacular trip. 1- Beautiful destinations 2- Dynamic activities/excursions 3- Well-located and comfortable hotels making it easy to navigate and have restaurants, shops and sights just footsteps from our room and 4- Strategically planned itinerary ensuring all goes smoothly.
This is how I plan for my clients and I think it’s why they keep coming back to me and referring us to their friends. I’m here for your trips of a lifetime in Europe and Alaska.

The Bryggen area of Bergen is an UNESCO site. The wharf area was originally founded/built under King Olav Kyrre in 1070. There is a rich history of trade and business throughout the centuries as well as fires and explosions but the Bryggen Foundation strives to maintain the historical charm of the area.
