This summer, we guided 8 groups of photographers to the elusive and mystical Great grey owls. Through patience and respect for the birds, we could photograph and experience intimate moments in the everyday life of the owls - like this adult male feeding its chicks right in front of us.

The black grouse lek is an action packed and exciting experience. Photographer Kirsen Asmussen made a series of fantastic images from our hide last spring, capturing both the fierce fights between the black grouse and the beautiful conditions of the cold spring mornings on the mire.

Atlantic puffin in white winter conditions. Hornøya is one of very few places to photograph these and other seabirds on land in a winter whiteout. The striking plumage of the puffin stands out beautifully in these conditions, and it’s always a joy to photograph. Here, a puffin takes off, heading out to sea.

Join us to Svalbard in March, when the sun lights up the in snow covered landscape with its soft but magical Arctic light. Together with a local guide we explore the stunning surroundings of Longyearbyen. This area is known for its healthy populations of white arctic foxes, wild reindeer and rock ptarmigan. The wildlife around Longyearbyen is not shy and will offer us plenty of good photo opportunities. This is a true arctic winter photo adventure. We run this tour three times per year. During our Svalbard - Kingdom of the polar bear tour last May, talented photographers Marlene and Benedikt .lights captured these wonderful images of the arctic wildlife. During the twelve days, they experienced a wide variety of species and photo opportunities, including a special meeting with a polar bear in the pack ice. During our wildlife photography expedition on Svalbard last May we had several amazing encounters with this stunning polar bear. He had found a good hunting area, packed with seal pups. In just a few days he made an absolute massacre on these ice floats. We spent hours watching him trying to make his next kill. This was an experience we will never forget! We are looking forward to creating more of such experiences next year again!

Last year we had a very special visitor on the black grouse lek. A female capercaillie showed up on 4 different mornings. Her presence made the black grouse males go crazy. They nearly killed each other, just to get a chance to mate with her. Within those 4 mornings she got mated around 50 times! Our guests got to fill their memory cards hour after hour with insane images of this spectacle. If the mating was successful, there is a chance that hybrid grouse will show up on this lek next year. We can't wait to find out!

Anyone up for a winter photography adventure in Yellowstone? We still have got 2 spots available on our upcoming trip to Yellowstone National Park in January 2025. This area is known for the high diversity and high numbers of wildlife. It is a true wildlife photography paradise. With a snow coach we enter deep into the park, which otherwise is closed off for other traffic. The main target species are the wolf, coyote, bobcat, buffalo, elk and bighorn sheep. But we won't ignore the stunning landscape we will be traveling through. The group is led by and local guides. We already have a group of very enthusiastic photographers who will join, but have space for two more persons. Please let us know if you are interested.
