Made for Movement is providing movement and participation through dynamic standing and walking aids for people with severe disabilities. E. g.

Since 1995 Made for Movement has been creating opportunities for people with severe disabilities to participate in everyday activities. It started out with the NF-Walker, and in 2007, one of the founders competed in a Norwegian TV program for entrepreneurs called “The Creator”. He entered with his latest innovation, which was enough to win the whole competition. With that, the Innowalk was born. O

ver time, both the NF-Walker and Innowalk have evolved, being made available in several variations to better serve different needs. in 2011, the Innowalk Pro, developed for clinical practices with simple, adjustable size features, was launched. In 2016 the next-generation NF-Walker 2 was launched, taking dynamic standing and walking further than ever before. The ability to move is something most of us take for granted. Our experience has shown us the life-changing impact that movement has for people whose mobility has been affected by disability.

Great to see two scheduled poster presentations at highlighting how dynamic standing with the Innowalk may improve quality of life, participation, mobility and functional outcomes for children with cerebral palsy (CP).

Presented by clinicians from special schools and specialist neurorehabilitation services, the posters examine the role of regular dynamic standing across school, clinical and post-operative settings for children with complex motor disabilities.

We look forward to joining leading clinicians, researchers and therapists in Galway for the European Academy of Childhood Disability conference.

We’re delighted to welcome Lara Foster to the Made for Movement team as our new Product Specialist covering North London and the Greater London area 🎉

Lara joins us with a fantastic background supporting children and young people with complex disabilities, having previously worked as a Physiotherapy Technician in a specialist school and college setting. She also brings hands-on experience working with the Innowalk Pro in a school setting over the past 3 years — making her a brilliant addition to our growing team.

What excites Lara most about joining Made for Movement is seeing how our products can positively change people’s lives within the home environment, while helping support the continued growth of the company.

Outside of work, Lara brings what she describes as a “cracking sense of humour” (we can already confirm this is true), alongside a love of running, Pilates, quiz hosting, coffee, dogs, and all things Lord of the Rings — including visiting Hobbiton three times! ☕🏃‍♀️🌋

A few fun facts about Lara:
✨ She’s visited over 30 countries
✨ She’s weirdly good at hula hooping
✨ She once booked onto a sloth conservation programme because she loves sloths
✨ She has a talent for getting common sayings slightly wrong… but says them with complete confidence anyway
