Choosing the right fender will avoid costly damage! 🫰

The wrong fender can lead to unnecessary wear, damage, and expenses—but often, the choice is made without the right knowledge or guidance.

In the logistics and agency industry, no day or assignment is the same – that’s what makes the job exciting🤩 We have the opportunity to contribute solutions to a wide range of projects for our clients.

Recently, we have had the pleasure of supporting Floatel International in planning the transport of crew to and from the accommodation rig Floatel Superior, while the rig undergoes testing after SPS.

In the comming weeks we will ensure that 80+ crew members, technicians and inspectors receive safe and efficient transportation to and from the rig.👷‍♀️👷‍♂️🚤

In logistics and agency services quick response and flexibility are essential. 🔄🚚That’s why we do everything we can to find effective and efficient solutions for our customers!

A perfect example of this came this week when the crew aboard Floatel Endurance needed equipment delivered from Stavanger to Hanøytangen in a hurry.

Our colleague Vetle quickly jumped into action and made the trip to Hanøytangen himself. This was actually his very first trip onboard an accomodation rig, and as a little bonus he got to sleep onboard. 🛏️😴

Maybe not what he had planned for a Thursday evening 😊, but it’s these kinds of situations that allow us to deliver on what we promise!

We are always ready to make everyday life easier for our customers, no matter what comes up.

It's not always as easy as it looks!

You might think that inflating a pneumatic fender is a simple task, but the truth is, it requires the right equipment, practice, and precision.👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

Several things can go wrong – like when the valve breaks and you need to replace it, or when the fender isn’t inflated in the correct position relative to the chain net. If the fender is placed incorrectly, adjusting it can become a much more time-consuming and challenging task.🥵

🔧 In other words, it's the small details that make a big difference, and this is where experience comes to play an important role.

Luckily, our team has the expertise required to efficiently inflate new fenders in 30 minutes or less when they arrive in stock. 🤩

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming the team from In the same boat to our office in Dusavik🚢

Their initiative is not only inspiring but also crucial in our efforts to combat the environmental damage caused by waste along our coastline

As operators and participants in the maritime industry, we are committed to minimizing our environmental impact♻️.

However, we recognize that there is still much work to be done to address the damage that has already occurred. That's why we are proud supporters of In the Same Boat🌊 Their dedicated volunteers sail along the Norwegian coastline year-round, collecting and managing beach litter with the help of modern tools and experience.

Thank you so much, Rolf Ørjan, for stopping by with your crew and sharing the great work you do daily to clean up.

It was quite shocking for some of us to see the amount of industrial waste you collect each year😲...

This is why we really cheer for you and encourage other maritime players to join the effort in minimizing ocean waste👏

Are your fenders ready for a new season? 🚢

Did you know that a small investment in fender service can make a big difference in port and vessel safety?

At MarLog, we recently had the pleasure of performing a thorough fender service at NorSea Vestbase. A big thank you for trusting us with the job🤩

Our Operations Coordinator, Kjell Inge Meling checked the fenders for any tears or damage, inspected the chains for corrosion and wear, and replaced valves – all to make sure the fenders are in top shape when they’re needed most.

Fender service isn’t just a routine; it’s actually a necessity. Fenders are a crucial part of the safety system – for the base, the vessels, and most importantly, the people working there. A quick check can extend the lifespan of your fenders and save both time and money in the long run.

💡 Remember:

✅Check air pressure and valves regularly
✅Inspect rubber quality for tears and wear
✅Perform routine service to avoid costly repairs
