Hello from Norway,
The company Verktoy AS, organizor of the Woodturningcruise, has filed for bankruptcy and is now under administration. Consequently, all operations are currently suspended. The main reason for this situation is that in 2023 we lost our data backup as our IT provider had forgotten to file a backup. After they had been hacked, they discovered that our back up did not excist. This caused a major crisis for us. The incident resulted in an enormous amount of extra work and high costs, which were only partially covered by the provider’s insurance. It has been a long and difficult two-year struggle, and with heavy hearts we now realize that we have lost that battle.
We still hope that there may be an opportunity for operations to continue under new ownership, but much remains uncertain. I want to thank all our customers and partners for their good cooperation over the past 35 years.
I also wish to thank our skilled employees who have stood by us through thick and thin, and who, as of now, are without a workplace. Thank you so much for your efforts!
The future for another cruise is very slim, so thanks to all that have participated and supported us during the years.
