Port of Dover becomes the UK’s first net-zero port 🌱
A major milestone for maritime sustainability: the Port of Dover has achieved net-zero emissions (Scope 1 & 2), five years ahead of schedule and well ahead of national targets.
With a 98% reduction in emissions since 2007, this achievement highlights what can be done through innovation, investment, and long-term commitment, from renewable energy and cleaner fuels to efficiency improvements and local offset initiatives.
An important step forward for decarbonisation in the maritime sector, and a strong example for ports across Europe and beyond 👏
