Yesterday, just outside Henningsvær in Lofoten, we experienced something truly unforgettable.

A pod of wild orcas moved silently beneath us while we listened through the hydrophone to their real underwater calls and communication. No soundtrack. No added sound. Just the Arctic ocean and the voices of the orcas themselves.

Moments like these only happen when wildlife chooses to trust the space around them. Our skippers always approach orcas slowly, respectfully, and with great care, keeping distance and minimizing disturbance at all times. Their knowledge, patience, and professionalism are a huge part of why encounters like this can happen naturally.

This is wildlife on nature’s terms.

Position: Experienced dogsledding guide/ handler
Place: Kvaløya, Tromsø
Type: Fulltime, season
Deadline: 15th of May 2026

We are built on experience, strong teams and a close connection to our dogs and the environment we work in.

The positions available are for both summer and winter time. We search for guides with experience who know how the life of a musher is and who are passionate about our dogs, team and guests.

We’re looking for an experienced Dog Sledding Guide / Handler to join Team Arctic Adventure Tours on Kvaløya, Tromsø for the 2026/2027 winter season.

You’ll spend your days in the Arctic wilderness, working with amazing dogs and an international team that genuinely loves what they do.

We’re looking for someone who:
🐶 Has experience with sled dogs
💪 Is comfortable taking responsibility
❄️ Thrives outdoors in all conditions
🤝 Works well in a team
