What a season it was!
Time to roll up the rugs, pack away the gear, and trade snow boots for flip-flops. The Northern Lights season has officially come to an end, and now it’s time for us to head somewhere a little warmer… to soak up some sunshine, white sand, a few margaritas, and that well-deserved dose of vitamin D. ☀️🌴

We’ll be a little offline for a while — so apologies in advance if we take longer than usual to reply. We just need a short break from icy winds and dark skies... winter in the Arctic shade has been beautiful, but it's time for something a bit more tropical!

This season was truly unforgettable. A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to our amazing team of guides — Adam, Antonio, JJ, Lukas, and Peter — and our unstoppable, tireless team of the best drivers in Northern Norway: Dawid, Marcin, Timo, and Felipe. With full honesty (and without modesty), we can say this was one of the strongest teams in town.

We don’t usually keep stats, but JJ did — and out of 100 tours, he saw the aurora 95 times. So, let’s just call it what it is: a 95% success rate for this season. Not bad, especially considering the weather was among the most difficult we’ve ever worked with (a sign of climate change creeping in?). But despite the challenges, the aurora activity was incredible — some of the most intense and vivid we've seen in years.

And the good news? Next season should still be within the solar maximum — the most active period in the Sun’s 11-year cycle, when auroras are at their strongest and most frequent. So if you're dreaming about chasing the lights, don't wait too long. Autumn 2025 is calling!

But today, our biggest THANK YOU goes to you — our guests.
To everyone who chased the lights with us this season — thank you for your energy, your laughs, your stories, your patience, and your trust. Thank you for being a part of your proposals under the stars (still waiting for wedding invitations - just saying) and thanks for all the hugs after a successful night. We had guests from literally all corners of the planet — even from such a remote places like Solomon Islands to Mariana Islands. You continue to be the heart of what we do. You’re the reason we keep going through snowstorms, sleepless nights, and long drives into the Arctic darkness.

We couldn’t pick a single “best” photo from the season — so here’s one of our favorites we found quickly on the computer. There are so many more stories in the memory cards...

Now it’s time to rest, recharge, and come back stronger. We’ll see some of you this summer for our summer tours… and from September — we go again.

THANK YOU FOR BEING WITH US.
With love,
Kat & Rob 💚

April 11th — and yet again we found ourselves chasing the lights all the way to the Finnish border… and beyond. At the border itself, clouds were hanging heavy, but just a few more kilometers into Finland made all the difference. While some groups stayed behind near the usual spots, we pushed 20 minutes past Kilpisjärvi — and it paid off big time. Almost the entire sky opened up for us.

Aurora wasn’t in a rush that night. She made us wait, testing our patience — but oh, was it worth it. Just after midnight she lit up the sky in full glory, turning a quiet valley into a glowing, dreamlike scene. One of those moments that makes you forget the cold, the drive, the time…

We didn’t leave Finland until around 1am, so it was a late return to Tromsø — but with a sky like that? No one minded. No regrets at all.

Check out the incredible shots captured by Rob — they say it all

April 10th gifted us something we’ve been waiting for — good weather right here, close to Tromsø. No need to chase too far this time! We headed out to the beautiful island of Kvaløya, surrounded by dramatic mountains and icy fjords.

The evening started off so bright and clear that we took the chance to do a little sightseeing — the landscape was simply too stunning not to pause for a moment. A group of curious reindeer even wandered over to greet us, adding some unexpected magic to the calm start of the night.

But then, just as the sky darkened, Lady Aurora made her entrance. She showed up to say hello — and she didn’t come quietly. Her dance was graceful, vivid, and full of energy… a powerful reminder of how special these nights can be. Possibly one of the last real shows of the season, and one to remember.

On April 9th, we went aurora hunting once again — this time from Tromsø towards the Finnish border. How many times have we done this already this season? We’ve lost count… But this time luck was on our side early — halfway through the drive, we found a clear sky near the stunning Signaldalen valley.

We absolutely love this place for its unique view of Mount Otertinden, often called the Norwegian Matterhorn. It wasn’t long before the northern lights joined us — and despite the bright moonlight, they put on a truly unforgettable show.

The season is slowly coming to an end, and our guides are off on their well-deserved holidays… but today we want to take a moment to appreciate those who were always by our side — sometimes behind the scenes, but always essential.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible drivers — the silent heroes who made sure you always got to your destination safely and made it back to your hotels in Tromsø without a hitch.

Driving Arctic roads at night, often through snowstorms, is not an easy task. Yet they did it calmly and professionally! Our guides could focus entirely on aurora photography, while our drivers took care of campfire and comfort of our guests.

Thank you, Timo, Marcin, Dawid, and Felipe — for your help, your dedication, and the heart you put into everything you do. You’re simply the best!

Monday night took us once again to the border with Finland for another exciting aurora chase. Clouds were rolling in and out, but we managed to find just the right gaps in the sky—and that was all we needed.

When the aurora is strong, even mid-April skies, a bright moon, and passing clouds can’t hide her beauty. And what a beauty she was!

There’s nothing quite like watching the lights dance above, and then turning around to see smiles lighting up our guests' faces just as brightly.

Another great chase, another night to remember!

Sunday, April 6th gave us another unforgettable night on the road. Each day sunset is about 10min later, so we’re now starting our pickups at 8 PM—and it’s still daylight! What a magical time to be in the Arctic: golden evenings, crisp air, and yes… still very good chances to catch the Aurora.

Our guide Kat took her group to the stunning Signaldalen valley, where clear skies welcomed them. After not so long waiting, the Northern Lights began their dance—and the group got to witness them with the majestic Otertinden as a backdrop.

Often called the “Matterhorn of Norway,” Otertinden rises sharply from the valley floor, its dramatic peaks adding something truly special to any Aurora sighting.

Just a few more chases left before we wrap up the season… and what a season it’s been!

After a short break, we took some time to explore the breathtaking beauty of Senja Island—but by Saturday night, we were back on the road. April 5th greeted us with truly challenging weather. The forecast looked promising, but reality had other plans. We waited patiently until 11 PM, holding out hope for the predicted clear gaps. The clouds did part—just as forecasted—but the Aurora decided to keep us waiting. Instead of northern lights, we got… another rain shower.

But as they say, after every storm comes calm—and this time, after a brief rain, the skies finally opened up. And there they were: stunning, dancing northern lights.

Saturday’s tour was a classic aurora chase—driving from one place to another in search of clear skies. Our guests stayed determined, and their persistence was rewarded.

Meanwhile, we bid farewell to two more of our incredible guides, Adam and Antonio, who wrapped up their season.

A huge thank you to Antonio for his relentless spirit and dedication. He may just hold the record for the longest chase this season—traveling 251 km from Tromsø in pursuit of the lights! His determination is unmatched; if there’s even a glimmer of hope on the horizon, Antonio will chase it. Thank you for always going the extra mile (literally!) and for taking such great care of our guests.

And a heartfelt thank you to Adam for all the unforgettable photos and moments you captured. Your stories from Iceland and Greenland have left a mark on every tour, and your efforts this season—despite the tough weather—have been truly appreciated. Wishing you a restful holiday and an amazing climbing season ahead!

Thank you both for everything!

What a night to remember on April 1st! The weather forecast played its usual tricks—almost like an April Fool’s joke—but we didn’t let that stop us. Our only chance to catch the Aurora led us deep into Finland, and so began our (hopefully final) 3-country adventure of the season: from Norway to Finland, and then, with a quick stroll over a little pedestrian bridge… to Sweden.

A wild night, and an even wilder Northern Lights dance. Nature really put on a show for us!

This was also the final tour of the season for our amazing guide Lukas. Thank you for the endless jokes, the laughs, and the incredible memories you helped create. If you’ve ever been on a tour with Lukas, chances are you walked away smiling. Wishing you the most relaxing and well-deserved holiday—until next season!

On the last evening of March, we spent a peaceful night by a cozy campfire on the coast near Tromsø, waiting for the northern lights to appear. When we arrived, the sky was still bright with twilight, and the atmosphere was nothing short of magical. Take a look at these beautiful photos that capture the unique blend of twilight and aurora—something you can only experience in late March or early April.

If you’ve ever dreamed of witnessing the northern lights in a way that feels both peaceful and dramatic, with soft evening light blending into dancing auroras, then late March and early April are perfect times to visit Tromsø. There’s something magical about this transitional period that brings a completely different kind of northern lights experience.

A big thank you to our guide JJ. This was his final tour of the season, and we’re so grateful for all the amazing photos, the countless memories. The smiles on our guests’ faces say it all. Thank you, JJ, for an incredible season. Enjoy your well-deserved break, and we look forward to welcoming you back in September.

What a magical night on March 30th! ✨ We had beautiful weather on the coast, so we headed to Ringvassøya Island and waited for the Northern Lights. The best display came early, with twilight still glowing on the horizon—just the way late-season auroras like to surprise us. 🌅💚 The sky was painted with stunning colors, a perfect blend of the Arctic’s beauty.

Later in the night, the aurora became a bit shy, so we spent a few more hours under the stars, hoping she’d return for a grand finale. Even when she takes her time, the wait is always worth it!

The days are getting so long now that darkness only starts creeping in around 9 PM—a reminder that the Arctic winter is slowly fading. But that didn’t stop us from chasing the Northern Lights on March 29th! Our first glimpse of aurora came early—a rare "daytime" aurora glowing faintly while the last sunlight still touched the horizon. A surreal sight! But for the real show, patience was key. We waited, watched, and finally, around midnight, she danced beautifully, painting the sky with stunning colors. It was a truly special evening out on Kvaløya Island—calm, breathtaking, and completely unforgettable. Some moments are worth the wait, and this was definitely one of them!

The aurora chase on Friday, March 28th was just epic.

With an uncertain weather forecast, it wasn’t an easy call, but our team made a bold move—we decided to head towards Finland in search of clearer skies. And guess what? We didn’t have to go that far! Just one hour outside of Tromsø, we found much better conditions—earlier than expected. And then… there she was!

The Northern Lights showed up in full glory, dancing across the sky in vibrant green and pink waves. It was pure magic—shimmering, moving, putting on a breathtaking performance for us. The excitement, the joy, the awe… moments like these make every chase worth it!

After about an hour of a spectacular show, the clouds rolled in, and she slowly disappeared into the night. But for that precious time, she gave us something unforgettable.
