Khumbu Shangri-La Trek Nepal & Expedition

It was on returning from an expedition to the Himlung Himal in 2004 that René Tomio (a High Mountain Guide friend) and Jacques tell Tashi Sherpa and Ang Tshering Sherpa that they should create their agency.

For many years Tashi and Ang worked as “Sherpas” in a big Nepalese trek agency. Moreover, they speak and write perfectly French and English.

They were convinced that they were quite capable of running a trekking agency. Their friend and cousin Pasang will also be adventurous. Two other Sherpas Mig and Emilie will also work for a few years at the agency. This is the origin of Khumbu Shangrila.
