EVEREST BASE CAMP

The Luxury Everest Base Camp trek was born from Adventure Consultants' decades of guiding in the Khumbu Valley. It remains our most sought-after trek.

Helicopters transfer us from bustling Kathmandu to the crisp air of Phaking, where we begin our trek.

Along the way: refined lodges through the lower valley, private luxury camps as we climb higher, and a night spent at Everest Base Camp itself in the spring season. In Namche, a sports massage awaits for those who want it.

Recovery is an important part of any successful trek, especially in the high mountains.

That's why our Luxury Everest Base Camp journeys include sports massage sessions from the team at Lehara, a UK-registered charity operating in Namche and Dingboche. Trained therapists provide a one-hour massage that helps our guests recover well and reduce muscle fatigue, giving them the best possible chance to enjoy every day on the trail.

The partnership is also an opportunity to support the Khumbu communities that make these experiences possible. Lehara employs professionally trained local therapists and donates up to double each therapist's earnings to their chosen community project in the valley. So every massage funds something specific, chosen by the therapist who earnt it.

Lehara means 'ripple' in Nepali, and 'lift' in Hindi (we think it’s a fitting name for what they do).

Four journeys into the Khumbu this season, following the trail to Everest through forests, villages, high passes and glacier country.

All teams reached Everest Base Camp, arriving beneath the Khumbu Icefall after steady days on the trail and a strong, well-paced acclimatisation through the valley. A huge accomplishment for all, congratulations!
