Nepal's Tiger population has increased from 355 in 2022 to 429 in the latest 2025 national tiger census, with 74 more tigers recorded over the past four years.

Chitwan National Park has the highest number with 145 tigers, while Bardiya is the only park where the tiger population declined.

The census was conducted using advanced camera trap technology, and the results were announced on International Tiger Day.
