Polish climber Bartek Ziemski has once again pushed the limits of human endurance in the Himalayas.

On 19 May 2026, he successfully skied down Mount Everest (8,848.86 m) after a remarkable solo ascent โ€” with no Sherpa support and no supplemental oxygen.

This incredible descent followed his success on Mount Lhotse (8,516 m), marking yet another outstanding achievement in his high-altitude career.

He completed the climb with:
โŒNo fixed ropes (above Lhotse Camp Four)
โŒNo established tracks
โŒNo Sherpa support
โŒNo supplemental oxygen

He has now completed his 9th eight-thousand under these pure alpine-style conditions, driven by passion, discipline, and deep respect for the mountains.

The Spring 2026 Everest season has witnessed many incredible achievements and world records โ€” but one story has inspired the entire mountaineering world.

On May 20 at 8:16 AM Nepal time, a Russian para-athlete and mountaineer reached the summit using only one hand, marking a historic moment in mountaineering history.

Rustam lost both of his legs in a military barracks collapse in 2015, but he refused to give up on life or his dreams. Through determination, courage, and extraordinary strength, he became known worldwide for climbing mountains, relying mainly on his arms and upper body.

From summiting Everest to standing on top, Rustamโ€™s journey is a powerful reminder that no obstacle is insurmountable.
