🚨 Avalanche Alert — Himlung Himal, Manang

Ten people, including climbers and support staff, are reported missing after an avalanche struck Himlung Himal (7,126 m) in the Nar Phu area of Manang district.

According to the Expedition Operators Association Nepal:

* 2 people are from Imagine Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
* 8 people are from Himalayan Holidays Nepal.
* Authorities are monitoring the situation and gathering further information as search and rescue efforts continue.

The incident comes amid persistent rain and snowfall across Nepal’s mountain districts.

❗ People still missing/contact lost: 977
This includes 517 foreign nationals and 127 Nepali citizens believed to be living abroad, along with people reported missing in Rasuwa, Makwanpur and other areas.

🚁 Search & Rescue

* 3,243 people rescued
* Nepal Police, Nepal Army and Armed Police Force personnel are continuing search and rescue operations.
* More than 13,225 security personnel have been mobilized.

🆘 Relief efforts

The government has provided cash assistance to Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading, while relief materials, food and essential supplies have been transported to affected areas by road and helicopter.

⛽ Fuel supplies have also been arranged in Nuwakot and nearby areas to support ongoing rescue and relief operations.

Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has issued a precautionary notice following the recent major flooding in Bhotekoshi River, Rasuwa.

⚠️ Water levels/flow are rising again, and there is a possibility of further flooding.

People living, travelling, or currently stranded/residing in risk areas along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers, including those affected by the recent floods, are strongly advised to:

* 🚨 Stay on high alert
* 🏃 Move immediately to a safe and higher location if there are signs of rising water
* 🚫 Avoid riverbanks, bridges, and flood-affected roads
* 📞 Follow instructions from local authorities and emergency responders
* 🙏 Do not take unnecessary risks to travel through affected areas

🚨 URGENT FLOOD ALERT — TRISHULI RIVER CORRIDOR

Our deepest sympathy and prayers go to everyone affected by the devastating flash flood in Rasuwa. We are deeply saddened by the loss, destruction and the uncertainty faced by families, communities, workers and travellers in the affected areas.

The sudden flood entering Nepal through the Bhotekoshi River from the Tibet side has caused extensive destruction in Rasuwa and has already affected areas downstream, including Betrawati and Trishuli. Authorities have warned of continued risk along the Trishuli corridor. (Kathmandu Post)

If you or anyone you know is living, staying, working or travelling near the Bhotekoshi, Trishuli or Narayani rivers, please:

* Move immediately to higher and safer ground.
* Stay well away from riverbanks, bridges and flood channels.
* Do not wait to see whether the water level rises further.
* Avoid unnecessary travel through affected areas.
* If you have travel plans towards Rasuwa, Langtang, Gosainkunda, Syabrubesi or the Trishuli corridor, please postpone your journey until authorities confirm that it is safe.
* If family members, friends, guides, drivers or travellers are in the affected areas, try to contact them and make sure they have reached a safe location.
