On the cool morning of November 3rd, 2025, two friends from Israel, Avi and Or Bar, stood in Kathmandu, ready to begin the Manaslu Circuit Trek — a dream they had carried for years.
Their journey was beautifully organized by Shalom Treks Agency, with heartfelt thanks to Dev and Lama, whose warm guidance made everything seamless. A sturdy jeep awaited them, along with their wonderful team — Birendra, their experienced guide, and two kind-hearted porters, Aashish and Aman.
As the jeep wound through hills and rivers toward the trailhead, the rhythm of the Himalayas began to call. Over the next 12 days, they trekked through forests and high valleys, across villages adorned with prayer flags, and beneath the towering majesty of Manaslu itself.
Through sunshine and snow, laughter and challenge, their spirits stayed high — lifted by Birendra’s calm leadership and the steady support of Aashish and Aman.
Then came their greatest moment — the crossing of Larkey Pass (5,160m). With prayer flags fluttering and the world of white peaks unfolding around them, Avi and Or Bar embraced at the top, their faces glowing with joy.
“We did it, brother!” Avi exclaimed.
“Our dream came true,” Or Bar replied, eyes shining.
When they returned to Kathmandu on November 13th, they looked back at the mountains with gratitude — to their team, to the Himalayas, and to Shalom Treks, especially Dev and Lama, for turning a lifelong dream into reality.
