Day to Day Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
After your arrival at Kathmandu airport, our representative greets you and drives you towards your hotel. Now it’s your choice whether to stay at hotel or stroll around the city. In the evening receive brief description about next day’s plan. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Trek Preparation
After breakfast, there will be seminar for you to attend to discuss about the upcoming trekking plans. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Lukla (flight- 40 min) to Phakding (2652m) 3-4 hours
Early in the morning after breakfast, get transferred to the domestic airport and board the early morning flight to Lukla (2800m). The scenic flight over 40 minutes passes over the mountains and lands at Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla. After reaching Lukla, commence your first trek of the package towards Phakding for about 4 hours. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 5-6 hours
Today’s trail towards Namche Bazaar includes few ascend and descends with numerous cross over Dudh Koshi River. The trail provides the spectacular view of Mt. Thamserku (6608m) from Benkar Village. The trail then descends and reaches Jorsale then further walking you pass the Hillary Suspension Bridge. Again the trail ascends uphill and provides the majestic sight of mountains including Kwangde peak, Kusum Kangaru, Everest, Lhotse, Tawache. The trail halts upon reaching Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 05: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar, hike to Everest view hotel (3900m) 3-4 hours
Today’s day is reserved for acclimatization at Namche for better acclimatizing in the high altitude. Also commence a short hike to the Everest View Hotel which provides the panoramic view of the Everest region. Explore around Namche Bazaar, which consists of many restaurants, pubs, hotels, bakery, and cafes. A few hours of walk in Namche itself is helpful for acclimatizing. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m) 5-6 hours
Continue your hike towards Tengboche after your breakfast and enjoy the spectacular views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Amadablam, Thamserku. The trail first passes through Kayangjuma and reaches Sansa, which is a major trail junction to Gokyo valley and Everest Base Camp. The trail then crosses beautiful pine forest and prayer flags festooned bridge over the Dudh Koshi river and reaches Phunki Tenga. After ascending through the forest for few more hours you the trail reaches Tengboche. Tenboche offers the closer picturesque views of Everest, Amadablam and Nuptse and also houses the biggest Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu region, Tengboche Monastery. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m) 5-6 hours
Wake up early in the morning and witness the morning views of the snow-capped mountainsfrom Tengboche and then continue your hike towards the Dingboche which is also known as the summer valley. The trail first ascends passing through several Chortens, Mani Walls and small villages then crosses the Imja Khola and goes through the village of Pangboche (3900m). The trail descends towards Lobuche River after passing the Imja Valley and then after some continuous climb finally reaches Dingboche. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 08: Dingboche to Chhukung (4750m) 3-4 hours
Today continue your trek with a pleasant walk following the trail via Imja river Valley with great mountains view. The trail offers the spectacular sight of Lhotse towards left and Amadablam to the right. Walking further through ‘Bibre-yak herdman place’ the trail reaches the Island Peak, one of the most popular trekking peaks. The trail reaches Chhukung after crossing some icy streams en-route for 30 minutes. Chhukung offers the majestic views of glaciers and massive mountains all around. After reaching Chhukung take a rest or hike towards rocky knoll of Chuukung-Ri commanding stunning views of Lhotse, Island peak, Amadablam, Makalu and others. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 09: Acclimatization, Explore Chhukung and its vicinity
Today is for acclimatization before you head towards Kongma-La-Pass. Spend the day on exploring around Chhukung. Chhukung provides spectacular views towards the Island Peak. You may also climb Chhukung –Ri or the base camp of Island Peak. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 10: Chhukung to Kongma La (5535m) to Lobuche (4940m) 6-7 hours
After breakfast continue your trek towards the highest pass of the expedition, Kongma-La-Pass. The trail is absolutely exquisite and worth walking enjoying the nature of the Khumbu region. There are two trails one that climb over the hill northwest of Chhukung over the moraine of the Nuptse Glacier another goes back to Bibre and follows a high trail above the Niyang Khola. After a few hours of walk discover the beauty of Island Peak viler and ridge of Amohu Lapcha. The trail then ascends through Niyang Khola Valleythen turns west and reaches a wide basin filled with small frozen lakes. The trail then further leads towards the Kongma La. It provides the spectacular sight of Khumbu glacier. The trek continues turning north through Khumbu Glacier and reaches Lobuche. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 11: Lobuche to Gorekshep (5170m)-Everest Base Camp (5364m) to Gorekshep 8-9 hours
Begin the morning with breakfast and then trek to Gorekshep via moraine of Khumbu Glacier while enjoying the magnificent panorama of the Khumbu region. The trail passes through the pyramid sign post and offers the view of Mt. Everest including Pumori, Mahalungur, Lingtem, Khumbutse, Nuptse and other peaks. The trail then ascends further to reach Thangma Riju which offers 360-degree panoramic view of snowy mountains. Climbing through the stream of Changri Glacier, offers the first sight of Kalapathar. The trail then heads towards the Everest Base Camp which commands majestic views of Nuptse, Khumbutse, Pumori. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 12: Gorekshep to Kalapather (5545m) to Lobuche (4940m) 8-9 hours
Today after your breakfast continue another exciting and adventurous hike to Kalapathar and catch the breathtaking view of Mt. Everest and other peaks. En-route to Kalapathar, witness scenic Mountain views like Lingtren, Changtse, Khumbutse. As the trek proceed further, picturesque view of Mt. Everest welcomes you. Kalapathar is reached upon long and still walk for several hours. Afterwards, trek back to Gorekshep and finally climb down to Lobuche. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 13: Lobuche to Dzongla (4830m) 4 hours
Today’s trek is short and more relaxed towards Dzongla. The trail crosses a stream and ridges then leads to Dzongla. The trail passes through CHola Lake below Cholastse and climbs up a spur then further descends steeply to a wide basin. After a steady walk and crossing the shaky bridge the trail finally reaches Dzongla. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 14: Dzongla to Cho La (5368m) to Thangnak (4680m) - Gokyo (4800m) 7-8 hours
The trail today crosses another high passes of Everest, Chola Pass and is the toughest day of the expedition. The trail first descends to a basin across the icy streams and reaches the basin top then set-off to invade Chola. The trail then ascends through the Chola Lake, as the route gains height it offers soaring Amadablam on the south and Cholastse towards west. The Chola summit consists of prayer flag flapping in the strong wind. Thangnak is reached upon few hours of walk. Short hike from Thangnak leads to the Ngozumpa Glacier (the longest glacier in Nepal) and then further walk leads to the village of Gokyo. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 15: Acclimatization- Trek to Gokyo Ri (5357m) 3-4 hours
Yet another day for acclimatization in Gokyo. Explore Gokyo and climb Gokyo-Ri, the best viewpoint in the Everest Region. The hike to Gokyo-Ri takes a couple of hours and the summit commands panoramic spectacular views of Mt. Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu, Everest plus Cho Oyu Basew Camp and ye biggest glacier in the world ‘Ngazumpa Glacier’. Afterwards, descend down and return to Gokyo. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 16: Gokyo to Renjo La (5360m) to Marlung (4210m) 7-8 hours
Today trail leaves the main trail ad takes the tail to Genjo-La via Dudh Pokhari. Renjo-La is reached upon a couple of hours of walk which provides alluring views of Himalayas including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cholastse. Enjoy this spectacular panorama and then descend down the icy trail to reach Lumde. The trail encounters Relama Tsho and Renjo lake and then reaches Marlung situated on the east bank of Bhotes Koshi River. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 17: Marlung to Namche Bazaar 5-6 hours
Today’s trail first crosses the Bhotes Khosi River and then descends down to Taranga and reaches the Langmuche Khola Valley. Few hours of walk lead to Thame which houses the ancient Gompa (Monastery) and the monastery consists of three huge images of Avalokiteswara, Guru Rinpoche and Buddha Shakyamuni. The trail then reaches Samde after a few descends and crossing over a bridge. The trail further descends down to Thame Village and continues passing check-post and hydro-electricity power station to reach Phurte village. After passing through some gompas, mani stones and chortens the trail finally reaches Namche. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 18: Namche Bazaar to Lukla 6-8 hours
After the breakfast leave behind the Namche Bazaar and head towards Lukla. Trek down the rock path and cross suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi. The trail then becomes easy and passes through the beautiful Rhododendron forest along with pine and other vegetation. Afte the continuous walk for about 6-8 hours the trail reaches Lukla. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 19: Lukla to Kathmandu (flight) 40 min
Early in the morning after breakfast board the super scenic flight towards Kathmandu from Lukla. The flight offers the glorious views of mountains and Kathmandu valley. Upon arrival in Kathmandu get escorted to the Hotel by one of our representative. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 20: Transfer to the Airport for your onward destination
Your trip terminates today. You are escorted to the international terminal approximately 3 hours before your flight schedule by one of our representatives. We hope you had a great time with us. Have safe flight back home!
