Every summit starts long before the mountain. It starts with the right gear, the right preparation, and the right team.

At Everest Sherpa Expedition, our Sherpa leaders have stood on top of Everest, Manaslu, Ama Dablam and more. This is the exact kit we trust for 8000m peaks:

Summit Suit & Boots rated to -40°C
Oxygen Cylinder + Regulator
Crampons, Ice Axe, Harness, Ascender, Figure 8
Helmet, Goggles, Headlamp, Gloves and more
Safety isn't an accessory. It's the system.

LHO VILLAGE, MANASLU CIRCUIT

Continuing our Manaslu series — this is Lho (3,180m), one of the most beautiful stops on the circuit.

Photo 1: The first full view of the valley as you come from Namrung. Lho sits on the ridge, Manaslu behind it.
Photo 2: Our team on the morning trail — the mountain was playing hide and seek with clouds.
Photo 3: Lho Monastery and the blue-roofed lodges. This is where most groups spend two nights to acclimatize.
Photo 4: Manaslu (8,163m), the world's 8th highest peak, up close.

The Manaslu Circuit is still a restricted area. That means fewer crowds than Annapurna, but also proper permits and a registered agency are mandatory.

We have fixed departures this autumn (Sept-Nov) and spring 2026. DM us "MANASLU" for the detailed itinerary.

Shyala → Samagaun | Manaslu Circuit with Everest Sherpa Expedition

Day before yesterday was ice. Yesterday was base camp. Today was people.

Shyala (3,575m) gives you the full 360° — Himalchuli, Ngadi Chuli, Manaslu. Two hours later you’re in Samagaun (3,530m) walking past mani walls, blue-roof teahouses, and yaks, with Birendra Tal glowing turquoise above the village.

We build this acclimatization day into every Manaslu itinerary because it makes the Larkya La safer — and it’s the day our guests remember most.

The mountain brings you here. The villages make you want to stay.

Autumn 2026 & Spring 2027 dates are open. We handle all permits, experienced Sherpa guides, and logistics from Kathmandu.

They call Manaslu the "Mountain of Souls", and for good reason.

At Manaslu Base Camp you don't hear traffic. Here you hear only the sound of prayer flags fluttering in the wind, the sound of ice moving deep inside the glacier, and your own breath at an altitude of 4,800 meters.

Last October our guests walked up from Samagaun. Burning incense in the cairn seen in photo 2, everyone sat quietly, no rush to the summit. A quiet hour under the north wall of Manaslu, 8,163 meters high.

If Everest Base Camp feels like a festival, Manaslu Base Camp feels like a prayer.

After the October season the climbing activity ends here, and the area gradually calms down. During spring, most trekkers cannot reach Base Camp due to heavy snow, so the environment stays very quiet and secluded.

We include this as an acclimatization side trip on every Manaslu Circuit trek, and for many guests, this becomes the most memorable moment.

Have you reached Manaslu Base Camp? What did you feel there?

A special memory and best wishes from the Everest Sherpa Expedition family to all our mountain friends. 🙏🏔

Planning an 8000m climb this October?

Manaslu is the perfect preparation for Everest.

It's beautiful, yes — but it's also technical. Steep ice, vertical fixed lines, up and down on rope. Exactly the high-altitude experience and confidence you need before Everest.

Summit Manaslu first, and you'll arrive on Everest more prepared, more experienced, and more familiar with how a real Himalayan expedition moves.

That's why now is the time to plan.

We have opened our special Manaslu Expedition Project for October 2026. Full Sherpa support, safe logistics, and a team that puts your summit and your safety first.

Everest Cleanup Campaign 2024 | A Mission Beyond the Summit

High on the slopes of Everest and Lhotse, where the air is thin and every step tests human limits, some stories remain buried in ice for years…
In May 2024, under a government-led initiative, our Founder President and IFMGA Certified Mountain Guide, , led a powerful and emotional mission — not to summit, but to restore dignity to the mountains.

In coordination with (Major Aditya Karki and team), logistics partner Peak Promotion, and Director , the team carried out one of the most challenging cleanup campaigns in the death zone.

🔹 From the Lhotse summit (8,516m), a Czech climber who had silently marked the ridge for 12 long years was finally brought home.
🔹 From Everest’s Balcony (8,400m), an American climber was recovered after 7 years.
🔹 Two more climbers were retrieved from Camp 3 and the South Col.
🔹 And from the Khumbu Icefall, even skeletal remains were carefully collected — a reminder of the mountain’s harsh reality.

This was not just a cleanup.
It was about respect.
It was about closure.

It was about humanity at the highest place on Earth.
Every step taken in the death zone required strength, courage, and deep compassion. This mission stands as a tribute to all climbers and to the Sherpa heroes who risk everything, not just for summits, but for responsibility.

We are proud. We are humbled. And we remain committed to protecting the mountains we call home.

Behind these mud-brick walls, time is measured differently.

Established in 1380, Lo Manthang is the capital of the former Kingdom of Lo-a forbidden valley closed to the world until 1992. Today, it remains one of the most culturally pure enclaves of Tibetan Buddhism on Earth.

In 2026, it still feels like a secret the Himalayas are keeping just for us.
