At Expeditions High Mountain, our Base Camp is built for both.

Trekkers who’ve walked 130km to stand where legends have stood. And expedition climbers preparing to push beyond towards the summit of the world’s highest mountain at 8,848m.

Ama Dablam, standing at 6,812 meters in the Khumbu region, is one of the most elegant and recognizable peaks in the Himalayas. Its sharp pyramid shape and the iconic hanging glacier give it a dramatic presence along the Everest Base Camp trail, making it a favorite for trekkers and photographers alike.

Climbing Ama Dablam is a serious alpine expedition that demands technical skill and experience. The standard Southwest Ridge route involves rock, ice, and exposed ridge climbing using fixed ropes, with multiple high camps established for acclimatization. It is considered one of the most challenging and rewarding 6,000-meter peaks in Nepal.
