🏔️ max 5,420 m / 17,782 ft
📍Everest

This trek stitches 2 great treks together: the trek to Everest Base Camp (EBC) and Gokyo Lake by crossing the high mountain pass of Cho La (5,420 m / 17,782 ft).

We know: as if trekking near Mount Everest itself isn’t already cool enough. 😎

5 reasons why:
🫶🏽 Gokyo Lake & Gokyo Ri (viewpoint)
🫶🏽 Cho La Pass
🫶🏽 Everest Base Camp & Kala Pathhar (viewpoint)
🫶🏽 Scenic Lukla mountain flight
🫶🏽 Round trek, instead of 'just' up and down to EBC

Today is one of my favourite festivals: bhaitika. ☺️

Bhaitika marks the last day of Tihar festival. On this day, sisters pray for their brothers’ long life and well-being, while brothers promise to protect them and give small gifts.

It’s a heartfelt exchange that brings families closer. ❤️

During Bhaitika, sisters apply a colorful “tika” (a mix of rice, yogurt, and colors) on their brothers’ foreheads, blessing them with wishes for health, prosperity, and safety.

The ritual is filled with flowers, garlands, and delicious homemade food.

What’s your favourite festival? And why? 🙂

It’s Tihar!! The festival of lights in Nepal! ✨

Tihar is a special festival where we honor gods, animals, and family with lights, colors, and decorations.

Happy Tihar! 🪔
