Tilicho Lake, located in Manang district, lies at an altitude of 4,919m above sea level. It provides some of the world’s most picturesque views and is home to a great variety of cultures.
The lake is also popular for its adventurous trek which starts from Besisahar, Lamjung, and goes along the Marsyangdi River, with great views of the Himalayas nearby. One can come across beautiful villages inhabited by people from diverse ethnic groups.
The Tilicho Lake trek also leads down to Muktinath and Jomsom. The lake also has religious and spiritual significance - Hindus all over the world believe that it is a holy spot mentioned in the epic Ramayan.
One can fly to Pokhara, then choose a suitable hiking itinerary to reach the lake. Alternatively, you can go on a 16- hour drive or take a bus ride to Bhulbhule and Pisang, then hike from Manang to Tilicho Lake.🇳🇵🇳🇵
