We are delighted to congratulate Ms. Deep Mala Dhakal on being crowned Miss Nepal World 2026 on August 1, 2026!

In 2025, we had the privilege of organizing her unforgettable trek to Everest Base Camp where she trekked with her father and aunty. We are proud to have been a part of her Himalayan adventure.

Once again congratulations on this well-deserved achievement. We wish her continued success as she represent Nepal with grace, confidence, and pride on the international stage.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Nirmal "Nims" Purja following the tragic avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan, where nine other climbers also lost their lives.

Known to many as Nims Dai, he inspired millions through his courage, determination, and extraordinary achievements. Through Project Possible, he climbed all 14 of the world's 8,000-meter peaks in just 6 months and 6 days, rewriting mountaineering history and proving that determination can achieve the impossible.

Nims made a remarkable contribution to promoting Nepal as a leading adventure tourism destination.

His passing is a huge loss for Nepal and the global mountaineering community, but his legacy will continue to inspire generations to dream bigger and push beyond their limits.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and loved ones of Nims and all the climbers who lost their lives.

CAS Nepal: Beyond the Classroom
Nepal Sanctuary Treks specializes in organizing CAS school trips that blend outdoor adventure with environmental stewardship and sustainability education.
Recently, we welcomed international school students who stepped out of the classroom to see how their learning translates into real-world action.
During a scenic day hike, they made a tangible impact by cleaning trails in Shivapuri National Park collecting an impressive 30 kilograms of waste and exploring the power of regenerative tourism firsthand.

The Ultimate Reward: A Handwritten Thank You!

David and Sue personally handed this beautiful handwritten card to our Managing Director, Tulsi, thanking the team for an incredible journey to Khopra Ridge.

For travelers seeking less crowded adventures, the Khopra Ridge Trek stands out as one of the hidden gems of the Annapurna region. It leads you away from busy commercial routes into peaceful rhododendron forests and wide open ridgelines.
Along the way, trekkers stay in community lodges that directly support local village development, while enjoying uninterrupted views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and surrounding peaks.

Thank you, David and Sue, for being a part of the Nepal Sanctuary Treks. We look forward to guiding you on many more incredible trails in the future!

The iconic Hillary Suspension Bridge is a breathtaking high-altitude crossing in Nepal’s Khumbu region and a true highlight of the Everest Base Camp trek, located just below Namche Bazaar.

This legendary bridge honors Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, whose historic ascent of Everest continues to inspire adventurers worldwide.

Colorful prayer flags decorate the bridge, and it sways gently as trekkers cross, adding excitement and a sense of adventure with every step into the spirit of exploration.

A magnificent yak grazes in the alpine meadows along the Khopra Danda Trek, also known as the Khopra Ridge Trek.

At 3,660 meters, the ridge viewpoint overlooks the Kali Gandaki Valley and faces the Dhaulagiri range, with sweeping views of about 23 Himalayan peaks.

Khopra Danda is known for its wide mountain views, including Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m). The trail also offers close-up views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Nilgiri North and South, and Dhampus Peak.

Machhapuchhre looks particularly impressive from this trail, which makes Khopra Ridge a popular viewpoint for capturing classic Himalayan photographs.

The route also descends from alpine meadows with grazing yaks to terraced farmlands and traditional villages, showcasing Nepal’s rich natural landscapes and mountain culture.

Which Annapurna region trek would you choose for your next adventure?
