๐ŸŒ 21 Days. 300+ Kilometers. One Unforgettable Trek Across Madeira ๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡น

I just completed a 21-day trekking journey across the breathtaking island of Madeira and what an adventure it has been! Over 300 km of hiking through mountains, coastlines, forests, and ancient levada trails. Every day brought new challenges, incredible landscapes, and a deep connection with nature thatโ€™s hard to put into words.

From the jagged peaks of Pico do Arieiro and Pico Ruivo to the misty laurel forests of Fanal and the dramatic cliffs along the north coast, Madeira surprised me at every turn. The weather changed constantly sun, rain, fog, wind but that only added to the magic.

This journey tested my endurance and rewarded me with peace, perspective, and a huge sense of accomplishment. If you ever get the chance to explore Madeira on foot do it. Itโ€™s wild, raw, and incredibly beautiful.

The Kori Trek is one of the hidden gems of trekking in Nepal, offering trekkers an off-the-beaten-path experience with stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Located in the Kaski District of the Annapurna region, it is relatively lesser-known compared to other famous treks like Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) or P**n Hill.

โ€ข The Kori Trek is remote and untouched by mass tourism, making it ideal for trekkers seeking solitude and an authentic experience of the Himalayan wilderness.
โ€ข The trek offers panoramic views of peaks like Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Lamjung Himal. Youโ€™ll trek through dense forests, alpine meadows, traditional villages, and wide ridgelines.
โ€ข Along the route, trekkers pass through Gurung villages, allowing them to experience the unique culture and lifestyle of the local people.
โ€ข Being a lesser-visited region, it is rich in biodiversity, and trekkers may encounter various species of birds, Himalayan wildlife, and medicinal plants.
โ€ข The trek takes you to Kori Danda (4,200m), a spectacular viewpoint offering unobstructed 360-degree mountain views.
โ€ข While the trek is remote, it can be accessed relatively easily from Pokhara, the starting point for most Annapurna treks.
