A Swiss national who made an invaluable contribution to introducing Nepal and its people to the world, Dr. Toni Hagen remains deeply remembered for his love, dedication and lifelong connection with Nepal. 🇳🇵🇨🇭

Through his journeys, research and writings, he helped the world discover Nepal’s landscapes, people, culture and way of life, leaving a lasting legacy in Nepal’s history and international identity.

Nepal will always remember and cherish his enduring contribution and affection for the country.

🇨🇳Chinese Delegation Visits Nepal Tourism Board🇳🇵

A five member delegation led by Mr Chen Guanghao, Director General of Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in Chegdu, China visited Nepal Tourism Board today on 23rd July 2026 as part of three day official visit.

During the meeting, Mr. Chen Guanghao emphasized the immense potential for promoting cultural, adventure and spiritual (Buddhist) tourism, highlighting collaborative efforts in these areas to further deepen mutual understanding, enhance tourism exchanges and contribute to the sustainable growth of the tourism industries in both countries.✨

At the same time, Mr. Hikmat Singh Ayer, Officiating CEO of Nepal Tourism Board suggested Nepal could be a popular destination for Sichuan Province travelers due to close proximity, being just a short flight away. He further recommended Familiarization tours (FAM) for Chinese celebrities, media, bloggers etc as an effective strategy to showcase Nepal's unique tourism offerings and to boost Chinese tourist arrivals.✨
