Houses are finally taking shapes at LAPRAK MODEL SETTLEMENT and we anticipate first house will be ready to move into within a month.

One of the main reasons of bamboo in the second floor is, we needed a light material that has maximum flexibility and strength. Bamboo tensile strength outperforms steel in terms of elasticity and is very resilient, resistant and almost everlasting. With its flexibility and strength it can withstand persistent wind at high altitude. It is also provide insulation to protect from subzero temperature.

Our sincere thanks to all the donors from around the world for you generosity and to NRN's President - Shesh Ghale and Jamuna Gurung for leading this project from the front.

अहिले वास्तवमा लाप्राकलाई युवा एनआरएन स्वयंसेवीहरुको आवश्यकता छ जसले कम्तीमा एक साता त्यहीँ बसेर काम गर्न सकोस् । तर, दुर्भाग्य जति पनि एनआरएनहरु त्यहाँ पुग्छन, एक रात बस्छन, बिहान उठेर फोटो सेसन गर्छन अनि त्यही फोटो फेसबुकमा अपलोड गरेर हिडछन् भन्ने गुनासो छ ।

40 international engineer volunteers and 10 NRNA volunteers have arrived at Laprak model settlement for a month. Great initiation by NRNA NCC Thailand.

We hope all volunteers will enjoy their stay at Laprak while volunteering with rebuilding.

गैरआवासीय नेपाली संघले निर्माण गरिरहेको गोर्खाको लाप्राक नमूना बस्ती निर्माणमा सहयोग गर्न झण्डै २० देशका ४० जना अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्वयंसेवी खटिने भएका छन् ।

इन्जिनियरिङ विषय अध्ययन गरिरहेका विद्यार्थीहरुको यो स्वयंसेवी समूह करिव एक महिना लाप्राकमै बसेर निर्माण कार्यमा खटिने छ ।

गैरआवासीय नेपाली संघको आह्वानमा एनआरएनए थाइल्याण्डको पहलमा ‘इन्टरनेशनल एसोसिएसन फर द एक्सचेन्ज अफ स्टुडेन्ट फर टेक्निकल एक्सपिरियन्स’ नामक संस्थामार्फत यी स्वयंसेवी एकैपटक नेपाल आइपुगेका हुन् ।
