Pedal and Paddle Trisuli
Day one is all about easy, confidence building gravel riding. We roll out of Kathmandu and climb gently onto a scenic ridgeline behind Nagarjun National Park, leaving traffic and chaos behind almost immediately. The route is smooth, forgiving and perfect for first time gravel riders, while still fun for mountain bikes. We cover around 56 km with roughly 800 m of climbing before enjoying a long, rewarding drop down toward Gajuri. A support vehicle follows the entire ride, so if legs fade or motivation dips, hopping in is always an option.
From the finish point we drive straight to Camp Himalika, a beautiful riverside camp tucked beside the Trisuli. Think bamboo groves, flowing water and a relaxed jungle vibe. The afternoon is for cold drinks, river dips and unwinding before a proper BBQ dinner under the stars. It is social, relaxed and exactly how a Saturday night should feel.
Day two swaps pedals for paddles with a fun, family friendly rafting run on the Trisuli River. This section is playful and scenic rather than extreme, perfect for beginners and first timers. After rafting we enjoy a riverside lunch, then cruise back to Kathmandu by vehicle, relaxed, sun-kissed and wondering why you do not do weekends like this more often.
