Nepal Tourism Board Operates Free Shuttle Bus Service for Election Day
To facilitate travel during the election period, the Nepal Tourism Board has launched a free shuttle bus service to support both domestic and international air travelers.
According to the board, the service is designed for passengers traveling to and from Tribhuvan International Airport, providing transportation between the airport and major tourist hotels and key locations around Kathmandu Valley. The shuttle service began operating at 5:00 AM and will run until 7:00 PM on Thursday.
The board stated that the service was introduced to ensure smooth transportation for tourists and air passengers, as vehicle movement may be limited during the election day.
Route 1
Nepal Airlines → New Road → Kantipath → Thamel → Lainchaur → Malla Hotel → Naya Bazaar → Shanker Hotel → Radisson → Durbar Marg → Yak & Yeti → Nagpokhari → Gausala → Dwarika’s Hotel → Airport.
This route is coordinated by Ram Bahadur Nagarkoti, and the bus operating on this route carries plate number Ba 1 Pa 1378.
Route 2
Maharajgunj Chowk → Narayanthan → Ramada Hotel (Dhumbaraahi) → Chabahil → Hyatt Regency (Boudha) → Jorpati → Gausala → Airport.
The contact person for this route is Pawan Giri, and the bus operating on this route has plate number Ba 1 Pa 1320.
Route 3
Kupandol → Himalayan Hotel → Tripureshwor → Kalanki → Soaltee → Ekantakuna → Satdobato → Royal Tulip (Gwarko) → Tinkune → New Baneshwor → Everest Hotel → Airport.
This route is coordinated by Suraj Khadgu, with the bus operating under plate number Ba 1 Pa 1081.
Acting Director Sunil Sharma from the Nepal Tourism Board has encouraged travelers to use the shuttle service on election day to ensure they reach the airport on time and travel safely to their destinations.

On the Everest Base Camp (EBC) trekking route in Nepal, the highest point you can reach is Kala Patthar, which literally means “Black Rock.”
Kala Patthar is one of the best viewpoints where you can see a complete view of Mount Everest without climbing a snow peak.
I recommend that if the weather is good, you start hiking from Gorakshep in the afternoon (one of the highest-altitude locations in the Everest region with lodges).
The ascent is about 2 km, and it’s perfect timing to watch sunset over Mount Everest and the surrounding snow-capped peaks 🏔️.
