MANASLU UPDATE | AUTUMN 2026

The autumn climbing season on Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m) has officially reached a major milestone. Today evening, September 17, at approximately 9:25 PM Nepal time, the dedicated rope-fixing team successfully reached the summit, completing and securing the route for the season.

Operating under the management of the Expedition Operators Association of Nepal (EOAN), the route opening was made possible by the incredible hard work and technical expertise of the rope-fixing team.

With the path to the summit now fully secured, over 900 aspiring climbers, including international members and Sherpas, are actively preparing for their upcoming summit bids. Favorable weather windows are currently projected leading up to the fourth week of September, keeping conditions optimal for the days ahead.

Huge congratulations to the entire rope-fixing team and all fixing Sherpas whose tireless efforts have opened the way safely for the Autumn 2026 season.

Himlung Himal – Train high before you climb higher.

Hidden in the remote Nar-Phu Valley of Nepal, Himlung Himal offers a challenging expedition away from the more crowded routes of the Himalayas.
