This will be the most special trip from our offer. A bit long, but if you want an exceptional and special route and not on roads under construction, then this is without a doubt the best choice. Unique and one-off, because the next Shey festival is in 12 years!!! Anyone who has read the Snow Leopard by Peter Matthiesen will be familiar with it. Shey! In 2024 still far away from the "normal" inhabited world, this monastery is located at an altitude of 4350 meters in the middle of the Kanjiroba chain and north of the Dhaulagiri in Upper Dolpo. Hundreds of devout pilgrims gather here at the beginning of September to celebrate with song and dance, to meditate, to express their devotion to their Buddhist principles.
