Manakamana Cable Car is an ISO certified company, owned and operated by Manakamana Darshan Pvt. It is the first Cable Car Service of Nepal providing service from Cheres, Ichhyakamana rural Municipality, Chitwan and to the one of the most important Hindu pilgrimages, Manakamana at Gorkha. The Cable car station has completed 24th years of operation and provided service to almost17 Million visitors as of now. The station also provides excellent services including parking facility, a multi-cuisine restaurant, fast food, coffee and souvenir shops etc., for the comfort of our visitors. The Cable Car ride covers a distance of 3.01 Km with 34 gondolas, 6 passengers seating capacity each and 3 freight carriers. The system has the overall capacity of handling 660 persons per hour and takes about 10 minutes to reach the Manakamana Temple. The Cable Car service has promoted the Manakamana Temple as a must visit tourism destination in Nepal and around the globe for pilgrimage, leisure, recreation as well as adventure. Consequently, it has contributed to the upliftment of the economy in the surrounding local area of Manakamana and Kurin.
