With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, all of us at Wongchhu Peak Promotion mourn the tragic loss of legendary mountaineer Nirmal “Nimsdai” Purja and the brave climbers who lost their lives in the Broad Peak avalanche.
Nimsdai was more than an accomplished mountaineer. He was a symbol of courage, resilience, determination, and the relentless human spirit—an inspiration to countless people around the world who dared to dream beyond limits.
His extraordinary journey and the courage of all those who lost their lives in the mountains will forever remain a part of mountaineering history. The mountains may have claimed their lives, but their spirit, legacy, and stories will continue to live on.
At this time of unimaginable grief, our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers go to the families, friends, teammates, and loved ones of all the fallen climbers. We also stand in solidarity with the global mountaineering community as we mourn this profound loss.
