From Porter to Trekking Company Owner 🇳🇵🏔️

The journey of Tula Thapa Magar began in 2004 as a porter in the Himalayas. Step by step, through hard work and dedication, he progressed to assistant guide and climber by 2013, and later worked on high-altitude expeditions as an expedition chef in 2014.

After years of experience in the mountains, he turned his dream into reality by founding Lead Nepal Treks Pvt. Ltd. in 2017.

Today, Tula has trekked across most trekking regions of Nepal and successfully climbed several 6000m+ peaks, welcoming adventurers from around the world to experience the beauty of the Himalayas.

From carrying loads on the trail to leading adventures in the Himalayas — the journey continues. ⛰️

From Porter to Company Owner – A Himalayan Dream 🇳🇵🏔️

In the high mountains of Nepal, every step tells a story.
For Tula Thapa Magar, the journey began in 2004 — not as a guide, not as a climber, but as a porter, carrying heavy loads along the rugged Himalayan trails.

Day after day, step after step, he walked the same paths as trekkers from around the world. But while carrying their gear, he was also carrying a dream.

Through hard work, determination, and a deep love for the mountains, Tula slowly climbed his way up in the trekking world.
By 2013, he became an assistant guide and climber, learning the art of leading people safely through Nepal’s breathtaking landscapes.

In 2014, he took on even bigger responsibilities as an expedition chef, supporting climbers on challenging high-altitude expeditions. Every season in the mountains added more knowledge, more experience, and more confidence.

Then came the turning point.

In 2017, after years of dedication and perseverance, he founded his own company — Lead Nepal Treks Pvt. Ltd..

What started as a porter’s dream became a reality.

Today, Tula has trekked across almost all major trekking regions of Nepal and has successfully climbed several peaks above 6000 meters. Through his company, he now welcomes travelers from around the world, sharing the beauty, culture, and spirit of the Himalayas.

This is more than a career.
It is a journey of humble beginnings, resilience, and passion for the mountains.
