The Kailash Tour, also known as the Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar Yatra, is a spiritually significant and physically demanding pilgrimage undertaken mainly by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and followers of Bon. It involves traveling to Mount Kailash, located in the remote western region of Tibet Autonomous Region, China.

Highlights of the Kailash Tour:
1. Mount Kailash (6,638 m / 21,778 ft)
Revered as Lord Shiva's abode by Hindus.

Buddhists consider it the home of Demchok (Chakrasamvara).

Jains associate it with Mount Ashtapada, where their first Tirthankara attained enlightenment.

Sacred to the Bon religion as well.

2. Lake Manasarovar (4,590 m / 15,060 ft)
One of the highest freshwater lakes in the world.

Considered a symbol of purity; pilgrims often take a dip in the lake or perform rituals.

3. Kora (Parikrama / Circumambulation)
A 52 km trek around Mount Kailash, usually completed in 3 days.

Highest point is the Drolma La Pass (5,630 m), which is physically demanding due to altitude and terrain.

Pilgrims believe that completing the Kora cleanses sins and brings spiritual merit.
