Khumbu Excursion – Everest Base Camp Trek
Day 6 Update
Our Khumbu Excursion team is now in Dingboche after completing a short acclimatization hike today. Everyone is doing well and enjoying the beautiful Himalayan views.
Earlier, our lovely guests from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 reached Namche Bazaar with our experienced guide Nawang Gumbu Sherpa, who is leading them on the Everest Base Camp – Cho La Pass – Gokyo Lake Trek.
This morning, the team hiked up to Everest View Point.
The weather was clear ☀️ and they enjoyed stunning views of:
Mt. Everest (8848m)
Lhotse
Ama Dablam
Thamserku
Kongde Ri
After the hike, everyone returned to Namche for lunch.
Now the team is relaxing, enjoying the Namche market, and doing some light shopping before tomorrow’s journey.
Tomorrow, they will trek towards Tengboche, home of the famous monastery and majestic mountain views.

**View from Gokyo Ri:**

Gokyo Ri, located in the Everest region of Nepal, offers one of the most spectacular panoramic views in the Himalayas. At an altitude of 5,357 meters (17,575 feet), it provides an awe-inspiring vantage point that attracts trekkers from around the world.

**Majestic Peaks:** From the summit of Gokyo Ri, you can see a breathtaking array of some of the world's highest and most famous peaks. The panorama includes four of the fourteen eight-thousanders: Everest (8,848 meters), Lhotse (8,516 meters), Makalu (8,485 meters), and Cho Oyu (8,188 meters). These giants form an impressive backdrop that stretches across the horizon.

**Gokyo Lakes:** Below the viewpoint, the pristine Gokyo Lakes shimmer in varying shades of turquoise. These glacial lakes are some of the highest freshwater lakes in the world and add a surreal beauty to the landscape. Their vibrant colors contrast beautifully with the surrounding snowy peaks and rugged terrain.
