NAMO BUDDHASSA
Namobuddha is the 3rd most important religious site for Buddhist in Nepal. ~
According to history; 6000 years before a prince (Mahasatwo), was roaming around jungle with his 3 brothers for hunting. Suddenly he discovers a tigress lying near in Den with her recently born 5 babies. He then realized that tigress was going to die. She was very weak and unable to hunt as well. Prince saw her 5 babies was still sucking milk from her and the survivals of those babies totally depended on their mother. Aware that cubs could be killed by other wild animals, Mahasatwo, decides to give his life to the tigress in love and compassion. So Prince Mahasatwo cuts his body to provide his warm blood in the mouth of the mother tiger, and the taste of blood give the appetite to her. Finally tigress accepts the sacrifice from prince and she left only the bones.
The bones of prince were brought back in the village and buried in the tomb which is actual stupa of Namo Buddha. ~~~~~~~~~~~.................................
