After completing the traditional Puja Ceremony, the route through the Khumbu Icefall has officially opened. Our Everest & Lhotse Expedition Spring 2026 team is now heading to Camp 1 and Camp 2 for the first acclimatization rotation. The mountain journey has begun, and the team remains focused, strong, and motivated for the challenges ahead on the road to the summit. 14 Summits Expedition

EVEREST & LHOTSE Expedition 2026

The 14 Summits Expedition & Summit Climb team has reached base camp beneath Mount Everest and Lhotse, officially starting their expedition. Camp is fully set, gear ready, and climbers are acclimatizing.

The puja ceremony is complete—blessings offered by a lama for safety, luck, and a successful climb. Prayer flags fly, and the team moves forward with respect for the mountains.

Base camp is ready. Focus is high. Next step: rotations through the Khumbu Icefall and higher camps.

We urge national and international media, as well as individuals, not to spread false accusations that undermine the integrity and hard work of those in the tourism industry.

Nepal remains one of the best places in the world for mountain travel— it is "safe, accessible and increasingly accountable".
