Suspension of On-Arrival Visa in Nepal for 8 Countries amid Coronavirus
To tackle the globally spreading coronavirus (COVID-19), Nepal government has suspended the on-arrival visa policy for the citizens of 8 different countries. Previously, the government has banned this policy to the following countries that applies from the 10th of March:-
1. People's Republic of China, including special administrative regions
2. Islamic Republic of Iran
3. Italy
4. Republic of Korea
5. Japan
The on-arrival-visa suspension has extended to three other countries that will apply from the 13th of March, 2020.
1. France
2. Germany
3. Spain
Despite the suspension of on-arrival-visa, the nationals from these 8 countries can visit Nepal by obtaining the visa from the respective embassies of Nepal of their countries. They need to submit the health certificate mentioning that they are not affected from the coronavirus. Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) is the only point from where they can enter into Nepal and all other entrypoints are suspended. The on-arrival-visa ban will continue until another notice will be launched by the government of Nepal.
