Another Wonderful Milestone on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek!

Our first group of trekkers who embarked on their Annapurna Base Camp adventure with Shikhar Adventure has successfully reached Ghorepani (P**n Hill) today!

Although the weather was not very favorable this morning, our trekkers were extremely happy and excited to reach an altitude of 3,210 meters. Their enthusiasm and determination made this journey even more special.

A heartfelt thank you to our experienced guide, Man Bahadur, for your excellent support and guidance throughout the trek.

📢 Important Travel Update from Nepal 🇳🇵

I would like to inform you that the devastating snowfall and heavy rainfall from Tibet on August 26, 2026, caused severe flooding and landslides along the Trishuli River, damaging Nepal’s main highway, the Prithvi Highway. As a result, the highway remained blocked for more than two weeks, disrupting transportation to several major tourist destinations in Nepal.

I am happy to announce that as of today, September 17, 2026, the Prithvi Highway is fully open in both directions. 🚗

With the tourist season already underway, travelers can now enjoy convenient journeys between Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini, and other popular destinations across Nepal.

Important Update for Manaslu Trekkers

Due to continuous heavy rainfall on September 6, a bridge connecting Ghap and Namrung villages in the Manaslu region was washed away, causing a temporary disruption to the trekking trail.

Fortunately, with the immediate support and cooperation of local residents and the government authorities, an alternative trail has already been constructed, and the route is now accessible again.

Therefore, trekkers planning to visit the Manaslu region can continue with their trekking plans, while taking necessary precautions and following the latest local safety information.

As a professional trekking guide and tour operator with more than 25 years of experience in the Nepal Himalayas, I will continue monitoring the situation and providing updates if there are any further changes.

Manaslu is open and ready to welcome trekkers. Trek safely and responsibly!

Maybe the mountains were never just about reaching the top.

Maybe they were about the cold mornings, the tired legs, the quiet trails, the laughter between the hard climbs, and the people we shared it all with.

About leaving behind the noise for a little while and remembering how good it feels to simply walk, breathe, look around, and be present.
