Cho La Pass is a famous high mountain pass in the Everest region of Nepal, located at about 5,420 meters (17,782 ft). It connects the Everest Base Camp trail with the beautiful Gokyo Valley route.
It is one of the three major high passes of the Everest region and is known for its snowy trails, glacier crossing, and stunning Himalayan views. Trekkers can see mountains like Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, and Cho Oyu during the trek.
The pass is physically challenging because of the high altitude, steep rocky paths, snow, and ice. Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are considered the best seasons to cross Cho La safely.

Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek is one of the most famous trekking routes in Nepal. It takes you to the base of Mount Everest (world’s highest mountain) in the Khumbu region.
Trekkers walk through Sherpa villages, forests, rivers, and mountains and reach Everest Base Camp at 5,364 meters. The trek is moderate to difficult and best done in spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November).

Starting place: Khurlabesi
Ending place: Jagat
Distance: about 13 - 14 km
Walking time: 5–6 hours
Start altitude: ~970 m
End altitude: ~1,410 m

Khurlabesi is small riverside village with lodges and tea houses.
Trekkers usually stay here overnight.
The trail starts by following the Budhi Gandaki river through villages, forests, and suspension bridges.
