The horizon is calling.
There's a moment on every trek when the trail opens up, the haze lifts, and the whole Himalaya stretches out in front of you - peak after peak, all the way to the sky. No photo ever fully captures it. You have to stand there and feel how small and how alive it makes you.
This is why we do what we do. Since 1991, we've been guiding travelers from all over the world to views exactly like this one, safely and responsibly, with local guides who know these mountains like home.
Where will your next trail lead? Let's plan it together.

Namaste everyone,

Get ready for our upcoming Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek, one of the most spectacular trekking adventures in the Himalayas of Nepal.

This unforgettable journey takes us through beautiful Sherpa villages, ancient monasteries, rhododendron forests, and breathtaking mountain landscapes. Along the trail, we will enjoy magnificent views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and many other Himalayan peaks.

The trek begins with an exciting flight to Lukla and continues through Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep before reaching Everest Base Camp at 5,364 meters. We will also hike to Kala Patthar, one of the best viewpoints for sunrise and panoramic views of Mount Everest.

This trek is not only a physical adventure but also a cultural and spiritual experience. We will have opportunities to meet the warm-hearted Sherpa people, visit Buddhist monasteries, and experience life in the high Himalayas.

Please prepare your trekking equipment, warm clothing, hiking boots, and personal medications. A positive attitude, patience, and teamwork will help make this journey successful and memorable.

We wish everyone a safe, enjoyable, and successful Everest Base Camp Trek. Let’s create wonderful memories together in the heart of the Himalayas.

See you on the trail!

Today’s special monthly visit to the beautiful Ani Gumba at Shivapuri National Park with Rita and her spiritual group was truly a peaceful and meaningful experience. Surrounded by the fresh mountain air, green forest, and spiritual atmosphere of the monastery, the day brought positive energy, happiness, and inner peace to everyone.

The calm environment of Ani Gumba, together with prayers, meditation, and spiritual discussions, made this journey very memorable. Spending quality time with such a wonderful group in the lap of nature was a blessing.

Thank you Rita and all members of the spiritual group for the beautiful companionship and spiritual moments. Wishing everyone peace, happiness, and positive energy always. πŸ™πŸŒΏπŸ”οΈ

The Everest Base Camp vs Annapurna Base Camp decision comes down to what kind of trek you want. Everest Base Camp (EBC) is a high-altitude, 12 to 14 day journey to 5,364 m in the Khumbu region, while Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) is a shorter, 7 to 10 day trek to 4,130 m through forests, villages, and a natural mountain amphitheatre. Neither trek is "better." But one is definitely better for you.

πŸ‘‰ https://www.trekkingteam.com/blog-post/nepal-trekking-packing-list
We do a gear check the night before every trek. After 34 years and over 10,000 trekkers, the same items get pulled out of bags almost every time.
The second pair of shoes. The full-size shampoo bottle. The cotton t-shirts. The "just in case" crampons for a teahouse trek. The third power bank.
Most first-time trekkers arrive with 3-5 kg of gear they will never use on the trail.
We wrote the packing list we wish every trekker read before they packed. It is not a generic checklist. It adjusts to YOU:
β†’ First-time trekker? Different list.
β†’ Doing EBC in November? Different list.
β†’ Solo female trekker? Different list.
β†’ Budget-conscious? Different list.
β†’ Over 50 or with knee issues? Different list.
What is inside:

55-item printable checklist
The 4-layer clothing system explained
Real Thamel buy/rent prices in NPR (verified April 2026)
Sleeping bag ratings by trek (EBC, ABC, Manaslu, Langtang)
Lukla flight weight limit (most guides forget this)
The Khumbu cough: what it is and what to pack for it
What your guide already carries so you do not overpack
What our guides remove from your bag every single time

34 years. One packing list. Read it before you pack.

Happy Buddha Purnima
Friday, May 1, 2026 | Baisakh 18, 2083 BS
The 2570th Birth Anniversary of Gautama Buddha
The Thrice Blessed Day
Buddha Purnima, also known as Buddha Jayanti and Vesak, is the holiest day in the Buddhist calendar. It marks three sacred events in the life of Siddhartha Gautama, all believed to have occurred on the same full moon of Baisakh:
His birth in Lumbini, Nepal (around 623 BCE)
His enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree at Bodh Gaya, India
His Mahaparinirvana, or final liberation, at Kushinagar, India
Why It Matters to Nepal
Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha, lies in Nepal. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the world. On this day, Nepal is honoured as the cradle of one of humanity's most profound spiritual traditions.
The Buddha's Core Teachings
The Four Noble Truths: the truth of suffering, its cause, its cessation, and the path
The Noble Eightfold Path: right view, intention, speech, action, livelihood, effort, mindfulness, and concentration
The Middle Way: balance over extremes
Ahimsa: non-violence and compassion for all living beings
How Nepal Observes the Day
Pilgrims gather at Lumbini, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath. Butter lamps are lit, prayer flags are hoisted, scriptures are recited, and many Nepalis observe vegetarianism in tribute to the Buddha's teaching of non-violence.
May the wisdom of the Buddha guide your path. Peace, compassion, and mindfulness to all.
