When the Bhotekoshi flooded in August, many families in Betrawati were left without shelter, without a way to cook, and without much to keep them warm at night.

We couldn't reach everyone. So we focused on the 25 families who needed help the most.

Together with our Swiss partners at Eco Himal, our team brought temporary shelter, gas stoves, cooking supplies and utensils, blankets, bedding and medicines to every one of those households.

Rebuilding will take time. But a dry place to sleep and a stove to cook on is where it starts.

Thank you, Eco Himal, for standing with us. And thank you to every member of our team who showed up for this.

Mera Peak summit (6,476 m) ✅

This one didn't come easy. On the way up, our team ran into rough weather and heavy snowfall, the kind of days where you sit in the tent wondering if the window will ever open. They waited it out, stayed patient, and when the morning came, it came clear.

Summit at sunrise, prayer flags snapping in the wind, and the big Khumbu peaks lined up on the horizon. Everyone is now back down safe and well, which is the part that matters most.

Huge thanks to our climbing guides and the crew for bringing the group up and back with care, and to our climbers for trusting the process when the weather didn't cooperate.

Dashain Tika is on 21 October. Bhai Tika is on 11 November. Chhath is on 15 November.

Nepal's festival season starts this month. Kites will be up over Patan, bamboo swings in every village, and oil lamps on every window ledge for Tihar. This year it means a little more. The Bhotekoshi flood hit families hard in August, and they'll still sow jamara and give tika, some of them in borrowed rooms. That's how Nepal gets through hard years.
